Fantrax EPL DGW-34 Player Picks

It’s another excited double game week in the EPL!

Liverpool, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Everton, Sheffield United and Wolves each play twice. Tottenham misses out completely this week.

After Liverpool and West Ham crashed on Thursday (like Arsenal and Man City did on Wednesday), all EPL teams are now officially out of European play, so all focus is now on the league title and next season’s UCL qualification.

The DGW kicks off with two matches at 15:00 BST, so Fantrax managers should see four lineups confirmed before our deadline: Luton, Brentford, Sheffield & Burnley — none of which are double-gamers, so does anyone care?

Keepers

Dean Henderson - $2.55 CRY vs WHU, CRY vs NEW

Hendo had his best game of the season in GW-33, making five saves to keep a shutout against Liverpool on the road. He now gets back-to-back home games this game-week hosting West Ham and Newcastle. For his price, he’s a really solid choice. Both opponents have the ability to create chances, which means he’s going to have a chance at some saves.

Jose Sa - $8.84 - WOL vs ARS, WOL vs BOU

Sa also has two home games. Wolves are hit and miss, and you’re mostly relying on saves for points here. But Sa will also have a chance at big points. He’s a little riskier in my opinion and more expensive. As a differential pick, he has a high upside.

Daniel Munoz - $3.55 - CRY vs WHU, CRY vs NEW

I wouldn’t recommend him in a non-double week, but as a cheap defender with two homes games, I’m looking his way. He’s steady but not stellar, which is why his price is low. I want to spend big money elsewhere, so I’m looking at solid double-game fillers like Munoz.

Ben Godfrey - $4.46 - EVE vs NOT, EVE vs LIV

Godfrey missed the 6-0 thrashing from Chelsea. He had started the previous six and delivered solid fantasy outputs. Everton’s first game of the week against Forest is a huge game for both sides trying to stay out of the relegation zone. But the Toffees face derby rival Liverpool in the second game, so you’re rolling extra dice here.

Andrew Robertson - $8.57 - FUL vs LIV, EVE vs LIV

Robbo has reclaimed his spot in the starting XI. It’s not a guarantee that he will start both, as he’s still coming off a long injury spell, but at that price, a sore shoulder might be worth slight risk. Both matches are away, but at this point for Liverpool, must-win and Klopp-sendoff trump home field advantage. I’m seriously considering the long-lost Trent Alexander-Arnold here too.

Midfielders

Kai Havertz -$11.31 - WOL vs ARS, ARS vs CHE

I really want Saka in this spot, and he’s the better choice. Kai offers value and is much cheaper than Saka, and even cheaper than Odegaard and Rice. Only Saka has more goals and assists for the Gunners in the EPL this season. Arsenal needs all six points from these two games.

Eberechi Eze $11.71 - CRY vs WHU, CRY vs NEW

Eze earned 21.5 points against Liverpool. He’s the key to Palace’s attack. These are tougher matchups than most other double gamers, but Eze is on set pieces and penalties and in good form. Over two games, there are points to be found here.

Giovanni Reyna - $1.00 - EVE vs NOT

The American enabler is just a buck. He had an assist in his first start, and he just missed a goal. He took some corners and was active. For that price and in a big game, he could give you room to spend on a big name.

Justin Kluivert - $5.26 - AST vs BOU, WOL vs BOU

Kluivert is another inexpensive double-game attacker. He had an assist plus two goals over his last three. Bournemouth comes to play. He’s another cheap option with a chance at solid points, even with one of his matches at Aston Villa.

Matheus Cunha — $14.93 - WOL vs ARS, WOL vs BOU

He scored twice on his full return from injury. That brought his total to 11 on the season, plus seven assists. Arsenal is a tough matchup, but Wolves are home where they’ve played well. Bournemouth is not quite as good away from home. He’s a differential pick. Hee-Chan Hwang also got 30 minutes last game and could be available.

~

Mo Salah - $18.80 - FUL vs LIV, EVE vs LIV

It’s time for Mo to step up. He has 17 goals plus nine assists, but he’s going to need more for Liverpool to win the title. He’s pricey, but I just can’t see myself not having him in my lineup. Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are also options, but I think they are more likely to be rotated.

~

Oliver McBurnie - $9.51 - SHU vs BUR, MAN vs SHU

If you’re looking for a true differential, Sheffield’s forward could be that guy. He’s the only player I’ve even considered from the last place team in the EPL. He has earned almost 60 points over his last five EPL games. The game against Burnley is a good matchup, and Man United has been inconsistent.
