In a significant shift from his previous statements, Vladika Lemic, the agent of Luka Modric, has provided an update on the Croatian midfielder’s future with Real Madrid. Just a week ago, Lemic told Koora website, “so far there is nothing clear about Modric’s future with Real Madrid.” However, the situation appears to have evolved.

In a recent interview with Koora, Lemic expressed a more definitive outlook on Modric’s career at the Santiago Bernabéu. “The most likely thing is that he will stay one more year and continue writing history,” Lemic stated. He continued by praising both the club and its leadership, “Real Madrid is the best club in the world and is led by the best president in the history of football. Luka Modric is a Real Madrid fan who loves the club and considers it his home.”

This update is likely to be welcomed by Real Madrid supporters who have watched Modric become a central figure in the team’s successes over the past decade, while slowly morphing into the greatest central-midfielder in the club’s history. Since joining Real Madrid in 2012, Modric has amassed a plethora of titles, including multiple Champions League and La Liga trophies. His contributions have been integral to the club’s dominance in European football.

Modric, 38, has shown little sign of slowing down despite his age. His performances off the bench continue to impress. He has been vital, especially in the minutes Toni Kroos is not on the field. The prospect of his continued presence for another season will undoubtedly bolster Real Madrid’s midfield stability and experience.
