Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin rescued his team with two clutch saves in the decisive penalty shootout against Manchester City which allowed Los Blancos to advance to the Champions League Semifinals. Lunin talked to the press after the game and praised his team, refusing to take all the credit.

“I have nothing to say! I’m not the hero or the main guy here, the team is full of heroes. Everyone did a great job running and fighting for 120 minutes, I don’t even run five minutes during a game,” he said.

Lunin was asked about his decision on Bernardo Silva’s penalty, where he stayed in the center of the goal, saving the penalty and keeping Real Madrid’s chances intact after Luka Modric’s miss from the spot.

“We knew we had to take our chances and stay in the center in one of their attempts, and we chose Bernardo Silva. Luckily, it went well,” he added.

Lunin wrapped up his brief media appearance by sharing an interesting thought about his career in Madrid so far.

“I’ve worked very hard without talking too much, trying to take advantage of my opportunities and at the end of the day, hard works pays off,” he said.
