Dana White accused of betting on NFL games during UFC bout he called ‘least fun fight anybody’s ever seen’

UFC CEO and Tom Brady buddy, Dana White, admits to “zoning out” during boring fights.

That may include the featherweight showdown between Movsar Evloev and Arnold Allen at UFC 297 back in January, which ended in favor of the undefeated Russian. White later told the combat sports media it was “the least fun fight anybody’s ever seen.”

Turns out White may have missed most of their main card action.

“Dana said that my last fight was not entertaining,” Evloev told Badaev Podcast. “Maybe he wanted to motivate me somehow or dampen my championship ambitions a little. Then we talked with [American Top Team owner] Dan Lambert after the fight. He said, ‘Movsar, I was sitting next to Dana White during your fight, and he was watching American Football.’ He had apparently placed a bet somewhere during my fight. I told Dana, ‘I’m not here to amuse you, I came here for the belt.’ I’ll take the belt, and then we’ll see.”

White previously went on record to admit he was a “degenerate” gambler.

Evloev, 30, improved his record to 18-0 with his victory over Allen and remains ranked in the Top 5 at 145 pounds. Next up for the featherweight phenom could be a potential title eliminator opposite former 135-pound champion Aljamain Sterling.

Hopefully matchmakers can get that fight booked before NFL kickoff in September.
