Cavs take a 3-2 lead, show they are alive and well after LeBron’s era

THE LAND IS BACK! I thought the Dubs wiped them off the planet all those years back?

The Cleveland Cavaliers still exist? AND TRISTAN THOMPSON IS PLAYING FOR THEM?!? Whoa whoa whoa, I thought the Golden State Warriors wiped them off the face of the earth after beating them in the NBA Finals for the third time in four years back in 2018. When LeBron James abandoned the smoking crater of that team to flee to the Los Angeles Lakers, they looked finished forever.

But apparently they’re alive and well, as they took a 3-2 lead over the Orlando Magic tonight in a clutch 104-103 win.

How fascinating that after Golden State’s reign of terror limited Cleveland to one championship despite employing guys like King James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love, the Cavs are back on the scene as the Dubs completely missed the playoffs. It shows that every team will have their day in the sun, and dynasty’s while powerful can be relatively fleeting. It also shows that winning just ONE title is extremely difficult, and Cleveland should be proud of what they accomplished almost a decade ago.

Now they have a chance to add another title to their trophy case if they can escape the Magic in this first round and get some momentum for the next stage of the postseason.
