Jordan Montgomery, Arizona Diamondbacks down Reds for third consecutive win

“He had about a minute and a half from when the call went down to there to when he said he was ready,” Lovullo said. “That’s uncommon. That’s what we do here.” Said Mantiply: “I was trying to stay ready. I had gotten hot earlier in the game. It didn’t take me long to get ready. Obviously I was hoping Gink would work through that. The phone rang and it was time for me to get ready. I felt pretty good.”

Diamondbacks’ Hazen on Corbin Carroll: ‘Good to see him start to get rolling down the other side’

“At some point, the caring so much can get in the way at times because you’re not gonna be perfect. Nobody’s gonna be perfect. This game will trash you as an offensive player if your expectation is you’re gonna go out there and hit a rocket every time you go up there. … I’ll say like Mookie (Betts), go talk to Mookie day-to-day and there’s a lot of, ‘I could be way better than I am.’ … I think Corbin has a lot of that in him and I think that’s what drives the greatest to the heights that they do.”

Diamondbacks name 1B Deyvison De Los Santos, RHP Billy Corcoran minor league players of April

De Los Santos has been on an offensive rampage since returning to the organization from the Cleveland Guardians, who selected the 20-year-old in the Rule 5 Draft but did not keep him on the roster. Arizona’s No. 14 prospect earned a 1.112 OPS with seven home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored in April with the Sod Poodles. He reached base safely in 20 of 21 games.

Corcoran, a 24-year-old right-hander, had a 2.53 ERA with 28 strikeouts 21.1 innings in April. He had a career-high nine strikeouts in a game and threw six scoreless innings the following week.

“The extent of this defendant’s deception and theft is massive,” United States Attorney Martin Estrada said in a news release. “He took advantage of his position of trust to take advantage of Mr. Ohtani and fuel a dangerous gambling habit.”

Also in the statement, IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge Tyler Hatcher said, “Mr. Mizuhara exploited his relationship with Mr. Ohtani to bankroll his own irresponsibility.”

Pigeon poop is property of the British royal family. Pigeon poop was used to make gunpowder in the 18th century, so King George I confirmed all the droppings as property of the crown.

No one knows how Edgar Allan Poe died. If his works were any indicator of who he was as a person, Edgar Allan Poe was a deeply disturbed man. Aside from his macabre writing, a lot of mystery surrounds Edgar Allan Poe. even his death is unclear. He was last seen in Baltimore’s streets in 1849. He was wearing someone else’s clothes and in bad shape. 4 days later, he died in a hospital. Allegedly, he kept shouting “Reynolds” before his death.
