Slade Cecconi was stellar, keeping the Padres hitless until the fifth inning when, with one out, the floodgates opened. Cecconi allowed a walk, followed by back-to-back homers. It didn’t matter much though, as the Arizona offense was stifled yet again.

The loss will be hung on Slade Cecconi, but he deserved much better than he ended up with.
