English text
The water looks inviting,
The sun shines warm and bright;
And gay our boat is gliding,
Favored by wind and tide.
The summer breeze is blowing,
And cools our heated brows,
While swiftly we are rowing,
Our boat, how well she blows!
Come, share with us this blessing;
Forget all care and fear;
The waves, our boat caressing,
Are rippling words of cheer.
Of all the many pleasures
That here our time employed,
Our memory ever treasures
The sails we have enjoyed.
