Stacy London and Clinton Kelly begin their final stretch as hosts of TLC’s makeover series What Not To Wear on August 9, and end it with an October road trip — to Vegas — on October 18. The network released details of the final season in today’s announcement:
As previously announced, TLC’s longest running primetime series and one of the longest running makeover shows in television history – WHAT NOT TO WEAR – is coming to an end. Starting August 9 at 10/9c, TLC will start airing the last episodes back on Friday nights where the series aired for most of its run. The series finale is scheduled to air Friday, October 18. In each episode of WHAT NOT TO WEAR, TLC resident fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly face an assortment of fashionably challenged contributors, providing them with invaluable fashion advice and life-changing transformations, inside and out. Over the course of 10 seasons, Stacy and Clinton have orchestrated over 325 memorable makeovers for men, celebrities, multi-generational fashion victims, and some of the most deserving women who were in need of drastic fashion overhauls.
The last season includes some of Stacy and Clinton’s biggest challenges to-date, including a trifecta of fashion disasters where three friends break almost all of Stacy and Clinton’s style rules covered over 10 seasons. The final run also features a mother of nine who gets a $10,000 makeover vs. the usual $5,000, a woman who gets a surprise visit from Stacy and Clinton while sitting in the audience of The Chew, and a behind-the-scenes episode where viewers will get a never-before-seen look inside what it takes to produce each episode of WHAT NOT TO WEAR. TLC will also air two hour-long clip shows, where Stacy and Clinton give viewers a crash course on their style strategy as they reveal their top 10 important fashion rules right out of their rule book, and answer letters from long-time fans.
In the two-hour series finale, Stacy and Clinton road trip to the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas to attend a fabulous party in honor of the end of the show. Along the way from New York to Las Vegas they visit past contributors and reminisce on the road. Once they hit Vegas, Stacy and Clinton find one last makeover candidate wandering the hotel which results in their final makeover ever, and it could be one for the books. It all leads up to an epic finale party, where over 100 past contributors over the past 10 seasons await Stacy, Clinton, Ted and Carmindy to help bid them a fond farewell they’ll never forget.
WHAT NOT TO WEAR is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions for TLC.
No!!! Do not take What Not To Wear off the air. I have been watching it since the beginning and will absolutely hate it if it ends. Tell me who to write to to keep it on the air!!! Please don’t cancel it!!!!!
Love both Stacey & Clinton -Lots of great advise over the years – But disappointed that they never did a segment on 50+ and Still Fabulous. With lots of us in this age group that are still working it could have had a big viewing segment. Any chance of doing such a show prior to the end of this last season?
I am so so sad what not to wear is going off the air. Clinton and Stacey along with the ideas about fashion on the show have helped me a lot with trying new things, giving me confidence and coming out of my comfort zone when it comes to clothes.I think this show helped more people than your staff will ever know. Good luck and best wishes for all.
I have to say that my daughter and I have shared many quality moments watching What Not to Wear. We watch every rerun (we tape them if we’re not home). I love Stacey and my daughter loves Clinton but in reality, we love them both the same! My whole style has changed because of the show and we have learned a great deal about how to dress: we live by the rules! We don’t want the show to go away! Best of luck to both Stacey and Clinton. If they ever come to Maine, I will personally buy them each a lobster dinner and whoppie pies! No joke!
Christine
Glad its over with.

My heart is broken. I love this show. My biggest dream was to be on this show. I just didn’t have the guts to nominate myself. I made hints to everyone I know to nominate me. I will miss this show very much.
PLEASE DON’T STOP “What Not To Wear”!!!!
I have LEARNED SO MUCH FROM THIS SHOW!!!
It is the BEST PROGRAM ON TLC!!!
So many other shows this station airs are cheesie
and borderline ABUSIVE!!! Such as Dance Mom’s and TODDLERS & Tairas!! TLC should b ASHAMED for airing those 2 programs!! WHAT ( for goodness sake!!!) are those to programs offering society!!!!! So ABUSIVE TO FEMALE CHILDREN!!!!!
“WNTW” is educational feel good & has CLASS!!
PLEASE STACI & CLINTON DON’T leave!!
I doubt I will watch TLC anymore once WNTW leaves!!!
So sad!
Don’t do it TLC! Don’t take “What Not To Wear” off the air! DON’T!!!
I am so sorry to see What Not To Wear off I am a avvid fan and I hope and wish profoundly that they get a reprieve I have watched the show since its inception and I simply want more Stacey and Clinton!
Please don’t end What Not To Wear! At the very least, maybe Stacy and Clinton could do 4 specials per year. I know they are very busy but they are improving America, one person at a time.
I will miss What Not To Wear. I have I’m sure seen every episode. I tape it if I am away and save the shows of the ladies that resemble my measurements and stature, to refer back to when I am in doubt of an outfit I would like to add to my closet. I will miss Stacy and Clinton and I am hoping they will do another show like What Not To Wear in the future. I love Clinton in The Chew and have purchased a couple of books by Stacy. Good luck Stacy and Clinton. I will miss your style advice.
OMG..I can’t believe What Not to Wear is going off the air, Stacy and Clinton have taught me so much, whenever I go shopping I hear Stacy and Clinton saying “that’s not in the rules” I totally look at shopping differently, I still don’t like shopping though. I sure will miss them but I wish them all the best, and if they ever come to Michigan they should look me up. they should do a couple specials every year. thanks for everything you’ve done.
OMG, I cant believe THEY are taking the show off the air…I literally cried!
I have watched this show since it first began and still enjoy watching these amazing makeovers. Also, I’ve improved my own look from them. I don’t want it to go!!! American women still need some major fashion fixing…… and always will.
I too am sorry to see WNTW end! It is the only reality show I like to watch. Not only is it informative and educational, it is an uplifting and positive show for the everyday woman. However, all good things must come to an end…too bad!
They are a real joy and they are a service to women everywhere. They are so delightful I am sure we have not seen the last of Stacy and Clinton. They will be missed by me and millions of their friends.
I only discovered the program this year. Have you ever helped senior citizen with physical chalanges who has never developed her own style. My mother dressed us in 1920 styles, with no contact with what might be in style at the time. I am very disapointed that you will be going off the air, please don’t!
I am EXTREMEMLY dissapointed that What Not To Wear will no longer be on TLC. I think it is a very bad decision. I hope the show is not ending due to personal problems on TLC. Stacey and Clinton are very educated people and give great hope to all women. I will truely miss the program!!!!!!!
DON’T take WNTW off the air – I won’t have aNything to watch on TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please!!!!
Thank you for allowing me to be the last candidate for the final episode of what not to wear in Las Vegas
Our world is awash in crappy public female imaging. What Not To Wear consistently delivers positive female input and serves as one of the few healthy and healing bits of programming for women. It feels tragic that What Not to Wear is going off the air. Stacy and Clinton please stay with us. We NEED you!
I am SO sad WNTW is not going to be on anymore! Will they at least play reruns?! Otherwise I’m going to have to go buy all of the previous seasons!!
