Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (BCS)Important Notes: The language formerly known as Serbo-Croatian has split into three separate standard languages: Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian (BCS). However, all of these standards continue to be based on the same basic dialect type. While recognizing the countries of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia-Montenegro as separate, independent states, users of the current webliography are encouraged, as is the Academic norm, to treat BCS as one language and examine such sites as country-specific national corpora and language-specific online dictionaries.
