The MDG Task Force was created at the request of the UNDG at its 29th January, 2009 meeting to move the MD/MDGs agenda forward and provide direction and operational support to UNCTs. Further guidance was given to the work of the Task Force at the UNDG Advisory Group meetings at the ASG and Principal levels on14th and 15th July 2009 respectively. The Advisory Group recommended that the overall scope of the MDG Task Force would be the Internationally Agree Development Goals, including the MDGs with its main objective to be the preparation of UNDG input for the 2010 MDG review. The MDG Task Force reports directly to the UNDG and its duration is time-bound. The UNDG will determine any future asignments of the MDG Task Force after the 2010 MDG review. |
