Millennium Development Goal 8 - First Progress report by Belgium.

This report is the Danish Government's first national progress report on Denmark's efforts to fulfil its commitments in relation to the eighth Millennium Development Goal.

Based on national and Community reports prepared by the EU Member States and the Commission, the EU report looks at the overall EU input into the global partnership for development, and lists some specific actions that are currently foreseen to enhance the implementation of the MDGs, notably in relation to (1) increased quantity and quality of development finance, (2) strengthened policy coherence for development, and (3) stronger focus on Africa.

This report describes the status of Norway's contribution to the realization of the eight Millennium Development Goals. The report focuses in particular on Norway's efforts to improve the debt situation of poor countries, provide increased and better development assistance, contribute to the fight against corruption, and improve access to and use of new technologies, the global environmental situation and international trade relations.
