Chaunus spinulosus is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subantarctic forests, temperate forests, temperate shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater marshes, temperate desert, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, and open excavations.
