Contents

Synopsis

I-QUEUE greets the newest users to the Axiom Nexus Cybernet Infocore, and begins with some basic questions about heroic leaders throughout the multiverse:

1. What name did Optimus Prime go by before he gained the Matrix of Leadership? A. Hot Rod B. Orion Pax C. Optronis Maximus D. Occular Prism

2. What was the duty of Optimus Primal and his Maximals before their voyage? A. Deep space exploration B. Colonization C. Cybertron Defense D. Stopping the threat of the Vok

3. Which Autobot became the successor to Optimus as the Matrix bearer? A. Sentinel Prime B. Omega Prime C. Rodimus Prime D. Nova Prime

4. This Autobot was both Supreme Commander and head of the Galactic Defense Force. Who is he? A. Wing Saber B. Sentinel Prime C. Star Saber D. Starbuster

5. Although he might look like Optimus Prime, this Autobot is actually a human, bonded with a Transtector from G Nebula 89. Who is he? A. Cab B. Koji C. Spike D. Ginrai

The TransTech, I-QUEUE notes, have studied the many worlds throughout the multiverse that can differ from each other in ways both big and small. One of those universes, Primax 209.0 Gamma, has many of the same players of other Beast Warrior universe, but is very different. On this world, the Autobot and Decepticon war never really ended. Unable to continue the battle themselves, their descendants, the Maximals and Predacons, have been forced into a proxy war, taught to hate each other. Whether it be in open combat or gladiatorial games, the new factions fight a war they never started. Some have tried to run. Some have tried to expose the truth. A revolution begins...

Notes

Transformers references

  • Orion Pax was Optimus' original name, per the Sunbow cartoon episode "War Dawn". The question is illustrated with final page to the Kid Stuff storybook The Great Car Rally (art by Earl Norem), with smiling Optimus Prime celebrating Cliffjumper's victory.
  • A is the correct option for question two. This question is illustrated with TFWiki's main image for Primal's page, itself taken from Transformers: Universe issue #1 (pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Serge LaPointe, Chuck Gibson, and Terry Pallot, colors by Hi-Fi Design, Blond, and Dan Khanna).
  • Rodimus Prime is the correct answer for question three. Sentinel and Nova are both predecessors of Optimus in various continuities. Omega Prime, meanwhile, is the combined for of Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. The question is illustrated with a screencap of Rodimus from The Transformers: The Movie.
  • Star Saber is the correct answer for question four. Wing Saber is an Autobot from Energon who took several visual cues from Star Saber. The question is illustrated with one of Star Saber's box art variants, which was his TFWiki main image at the time of publication.
  • Ginrai is the correct answer for question five. Cab was a Headmaster Junior from the same series as Ginrai (Super-God Masterforce), while Spike and Koji were the human friends of the Autobots from Generation 1 and Robots in Disguise, respectively. The question is illustrated with a screencap of Super Ginrai from Masterforce episode "Heroism!! The Birth of Super Ginrai".
  • The Trivia Bonus goes over the world of Beast Wars: Uprising. Notably, while it still runs with the early idea that the war still raged in that universe, it also mentions the gladiatorial games that would replace the proxy war outright in latter prose stories set in the universe. Images used to illustrate include Depth Charge and Protoform X's art for their Timelines toys (pencils and inks by Robby Musso for Depth Charge, art by Evan Gauntt for Rampage); Blackarachnia's profile art from issue #25 of the Club magazine (art by Evan Gauntt); and a panel of Gecko-Bot, Jawbreaker, Rattrap, Botanica, and Dinobot from "Alone Together: Prologue" (pencils and inks by Naoto Tsushima, colors by Evan Gauntt), published in the same issue as this installment.

Real-world references

  • "Starbuster" is the nickname of the Bell X-2 plane.
