Check out these guns!

In many universes, Primus is the Lord of Light, wise in all things. But not this one. This Primus is a lord of order. Specifically, his order, and he holds anything that doesn't fit that vision with sneering contempt.

He really doesn't like ponies, for some reason.

Shattered Glass

In the 21st century, the idea of Primus, the benevolent Creator, was unknown to the heroic Decepticons until Cliffjumper, a visitor from a positive polarity universe, told them about Him. Shattered Glass Before long, Cliffjumper's "beliefs" were a subject of derision, especially among the evil Autobots. Dungeons & Dinobots

So does this mean Doubleheader has to accidentally shoot him so he falls back asleep?

Cliffjumper was eventually vindicated, however, when the Nexus Prime gestalt members attempted to resurrect a recently assassinated Megatron. As they applied their powers to the body, they were transported to Primus's presence. Out of the One, Many

After sending Rodimus back to the surface, and allowing him time to rescue his troops and vacate the planet, Primus assumed his robot form for the first time in eons. In this shape, he observed the spatially-displaced Earth from Primax 207.0 Epsilon and began his attack upon it to rid his cosmos of this affront to conformity. But the planet fought back, revealing itself to be Primus's "sister" Gaea! Finding Gaea more than capable of defending herself, Primus called out to Rodimus to aid him, only for the ingrate to refuse him outright. The Knights of Unicron helped Gaea at a pivotal moment in the great clash, blinding Primus, and allowing her to obliterate her foe, leaving only his head to orbit her planet mode, which became New Cybertron.
