Based at our Corporate Office in Singapore, we are looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as Senior Manager / Manager, Learning & Organisational Development.


Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager / Manager, Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD), you will be expected to support our Learning & Organisational Development team to achieve our L&OD Vision of Optimizing Human Performance.


This is a strategic role with a key focus on nurturing the Attitude, Ability and Approach of our associates and building the Organizational Development capabilities to the highest standards. The role will proactively partner with key stakeholders both in the corporate office and at the hotel-level to instil our PPHG learning culture.


  • Develop, educate, and periodically maintain up-to-date localised versions of PPHG’s L&OD Policies and Procedures
  • Based on Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) that shall be conducted at least twice a year for the hotels, formulate L&D plans that are aligned to Corporate L&OD Strategies and local business metrics such as TrustYou/ LQA/ Associate Engagement and Financial Performance scores.
  • Develop next-generation learning content and interventions based on Learning Needs Analysis; deliver (training/facilitation/coaching) and measure outcomes; continually improving the learning eco-system.
  • Assess and develop the training, facilitation and coaching capabilities of key managers and departmental trainers/educators; foster the learning culture and appreciation of L&OD.
  • Pilot learning agendas for corporate office and across hotels in partnership with necessary stakeholders, including corporate leaders and General Managers (GM).
  • Custodian of PPHG’s Learning Experience Platform for the area of coverage by educating administrators of the respective hotels how to maximize learning outcomes through the platform in order to benefit our associates and achieve desired business results.
  • Being the Champion to partner with all leaders to inculcate and bring to life PPHG’s Vision and Culture to all our associates.
  • Conduct service audits and management debriefs; contribute to the overall service quality of the Group.
  • Conduct sequence of service simulations and service standards learning
  • Network and grow the Management Trainee programs, establishing PPHG as the employer of choice and The Trusted Global Hospitality Group.
  • Be the go-to person for external learning recommendation; network and maintain a consolidated vendor listing within the area of coverage.
  • Partner with GMs and P&C to identify high-potentials and champion effective utilization of Personal Development plan.
  • Be a support to P&C to coordinate and promote associate engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Prepare periodic reports on L&OD activities and outcomes as required.
  • L&OD pre-opening support and auditing as required.


The Person:

  • Degree level qualification in Human Resources, adult education or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a L&D department head in hotels/resorts, or 6 years in a service-related industry.
  • Familiar with LQA and/or FORBES standards/ TrustYou
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Highly skilled in classroom facilitation of higher-level cognitive subjects at the management level
  • Proficient in MS Office application (Outlook, Teams, Yammer, Forms, PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
  • Familiarity with managing Learning Experience Platforms
