Real estate agent, wife found dead in their Kandivali house

Senior police inspector Pravin Rane said, “The couple did not have children and our investigation has revealed that they were facing financial difficulty, which would have led to this.”

Police said that the couple died a couple of days before their bodies were recovered. On Friday evening, Samta Nagar police were informed about foul smell from their apartment.

“The couple did not speak to anyone in the society, so nobody could contact them but as soon as we received the information, a team was sent to the spot. We broke open the door after which we found their bodies,” said Rane.

A postmortem was conducted and police have registered a case of accidental death report and are probing the cause of their deaths.

“Pramod died by hanging, we are trying to find how Arpita died. We suspect she was poisoned, however, we are waiting for viscera reports,” an officer said.
