To determine the probability, first calculate the highest power of 2 in\(10!\) by summing the quotients of 10 divided by powers of 2. This is computed as\( \frac{10}{2} + \frac{10}{4} + \frac{10}{8} = 5 + 2 + 1 =8\) . Therefore,\(10!\) includes a factor of\(2^8\) .

If Diana works alone, she will take 5 more hours to complete the complete the task, then if she worked with Dave to complete the task? What is the ratio of the time taken by Dave to that taken by Diana if each of them worked alone to complete the task?

A. 4 : 1
B. 2 : 1
C. 10 : 1
D. 3 : 1
E. 1 : 2

Let Dave and Diana together take x hrs i.e. their 1 hr work is 1/x.
If Dave works alone then he will take x+20 hrs i.e. Dave's 1 hr work is 1/(x+20).
Therefore, Diana's 1 hr work will be 1/x - 1/(x+20) = 20/x(x+20).
Also given, Diana alone will take x+5 hrs i.e. her 1 hr work will be 1/(x+5).

20/x(x+20) = 1/(x+5) or, x=10. So, Dave will take 10+20=30hrs to finish the complete work and Diana will take 10+5=15hrs to finish the complete work.
30/15=2/1. Option (B) is correct.

If Dave works alone he will take 20 more hours to complete a task than if he worked with Diana to complete the task.

30/15=2/1. Option (B) is correct.]]>

Here are some common myths versus facts about top-tier MBA admissions:

Myth 1: You need a perfect GMAT score to get admitted.
Fact: While a high GMAT score can enhance an application, admissions committees consider a holistic view, including work experience, leadership potential, essays, recommendations, and interviews. Many successful candidates have scores below the top percentile.

Myth 2: Only candidates from finance or consulting backgrounds get in.
Fact: Top-tier MBA programs value diversity and admit students from a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, non-profits, military, and more. Unique experiences can stand out.

Myth 3: You must have a high undergraduate GPA.
Fact: A strong academic record is important, but admissions committees also consider the rigor of your undergraduate program, any upward trends in your grades, and your professional achievements post-college.

Myth 4: You need to have held a managerial position

Critical Reasoning (CR) | Re: The economy is in a dismal state, universities are suffering from cutb https://gmatclub.com:443/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3404847&#p3404847 The economy is in a dismal state, universities are suffering from cutbacks, and many students must turn to any source of funds available if they are to make ends meet. - Background information.

Faced with this situation, the university has terminated the employment of some of its more productive departmental workers. - Observation.

Why? University regulations prohibit a student’s receiving financial aid and then working for an auxiliary income that exceeds a specified limit. - Explains the logic behind termination.

Employees whose incomes had reached that limit were terminated. - Fact.

Now, the university must find other employees. - Obvious effect of the termination.

Unfortunately, though, the university’s choice of students to fill the positions will not be based upon their abilities to perform, or even upon their financial need, but upon how much money they have made. - This is the rebuke of this strategy. Even if they are productive

What is the ratio of the amount, by weight, of Metal A to Metal B in Alloy K?

(1) The ratio of Metal A to Metal B in Alloy K becomes 5:6 when 40 pounds of Metal A is added to the alloy.

(2) The ratio of Metal A to Metal B in Alloy K becomes 7:6 when 60 pounds of Metal A is added to the alloy.
Ratio =A:B
statement 1: 40 pounds of Aadded.
A becomes = A+40 , B remains same
A+40/B = 5/6
6A + 240 =5B
Notsufficient

Statement 2: 60 pounds of Aadded.
A becomes = A+60 , B remains same
A+60/B = 7/6
6A + 360 =7B
Notsufficient

Statement 1 &2
6A+240=5B

Vijay_Rathore Not sure why you are applying to both the MiM and MBA. That does not make sense. But to answer your question, the mim interviews are taken by admissions committee members who will look at your motivation for the MiM program and how well you can convince them of the need for the MiM program in the grand scheme of your career and other goals. They will also evaluate you on how well you can meet the rigor of the program based on your previous academic performance and what you are doing to better prepare, based on your research about the program. If you have already completed internships (MiM is not for folks with a lot of FT experience), this will be an important topic of conversation during the interview, where the interviewer will want to know about your experience in a real business environment and what else you would like to learn
