In the weeks leading up to [[Forbidden Door (2024)]], May was the centre of a love triangle storyline which saw her character torn between supporting her mentor and the AEW World Women's Champion Toni Storm, and her former Stardom tag partner and Storm's challenger, Mina Shirakawa.
