Mount Sugarloaf is a state reservation located in South Deerfield, MA. It is found in the western portion of Massachusetts, in Franklin County. Sugarloaf has an elevation of 652 feet and a vertical gain of 427 feet from base to peak [1]. Despite the low elevation of Mount Sugarloaf relative to the nearby Berkshire Mountains, the area is popular among nearby residents for the scenic views of the Pioneer Valley afforded from the top.

The reservation is easily accessible via Route 116 and is only a 15 minute drive from Amherst and the UMass campus.
