Why record that John doesn't record certain events? Also removed some duplication.
Line 99:
Following his baptism, Jesus was led into the desert by God where he fasted for forty days and forty nights (Matthew). During this time, the devil appeared to him and tempted Jesus three times. Each time, Jesus refused temptation with a quotation of scripture from the Book of Deuteronomy. The devil departed and angels came and brought nourishment to Jesus (Matthew, Mark, Luke).

The Gospel of John does not describe Jesus' baptism, or the subsequent Temptation, but it does attestattests that Jesus is the very one about whom John had been preaching—the Son of God. TheJohn the Baptist twice declares Jesus to be the Lamb of God, a term found nowhere else in the Gospels. John also emphasizes Jesus' superiority over John. John does not record Jesus' temptation in the wilderness. In John, Jesus leads a program of baptism in Judea, and his disciples baptize more people than John (John, John).
