Duncan received his B.F.A. in Acting from the [[University of Colorado, Boulder]].{{citation needed|date=October 2019}} His father is retired from the Air Force and passed away in 2023 from Alzheimer's. Christopher lived in West Germany, Japan, New Mexico, Colorado, and Chicago. His mother was a registered nurse. He has three brothers: Robert, Charles, and Phillip. His youngest brother, Phillip, died in 2018 due to suicide.
