:Fair enough. As you might surmise from my edit history, I don't always even read the article in full before nominating. I do a quick scan and a gut reaction, and usually err on the side of nominating stuff that looks like crap. If it's really worth saving, someone is bound to come to the rescue. Thank you for informing me. Please check my page which you recommended for deletion to see that I have fulfilled the requirements. I am new to this so I may have made an error- I don't expect you to fix it but if there is something lacking please, by all means, alert me at once. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panther1010 (talkcontribs) 23:27, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Regarding this edit, what you probably wanted to do there was tag that page as G6 (uncontroversial move) so that the Stehen[sic] Douglas Johnson page could be moved there, rather than redirecting to the incorrect spelling. I've gone ahead and tagged it G6. Cheers, 28bytes (talk) 04:27, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the prod tag you placed on Skrime because it is currently being discussed at AfD and per policy an article is eligible for prod only if "it has...not been and is not being discussed at AfD" (emphasis mine). Compliance with policy is the only reason I did this; this should not be interpreted as my endorsement for keeping the article. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:02, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Maher-shalal-hashbaz. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Alexia Gates (Alex Gates), a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Four minutes A3 is too fast for an article that may still be under construction. Please keep it on your xwatch list and check back later. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:31, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't say 'spam', but I added that to your deletion reason anyway. :) Peridon (talk) 19:24, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've had to decline the BLPPROD you placed on this article as there were sources claimed in the article at the time of placement. However, the article is still poorly sourced, and I'd urge you to consider a regular prod or AfD for the article as such if you believe one or the other is appropriate. --joe deckertalk to me 16:31, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note to say I removed the speedy deletion tag from this article. It seems possible that this individual is notable based on his TV and movie appearances. Of course this is a judgement call, and particularly-difficult given that he appears in non-English language movies, but it is a judgement best made at WP:AFD rather than CSD in my opinion.

Cheers,

I've declined your CSD nomination of Алцхајмерова болест because A1 specifies that it only applies to very short articles, and this article is anything but. According to Google Translate, it appears to be a Macedonian translation of our Alzheimer's disease article. They have a stub at mk:Алцхајмерова болест so I am going to suggest to the author that they add this content to there. —DoRD (talk) 15:44, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to userfy the article so that they will have it available if they wish to add it to the Macedonian wiki. Cheers —DoRD (talk) 15:58, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rich is an admin - that means he can decline a speedy deletion request. I urge you to open an AfD discussion now. LadyofShalott 02:26, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

why do you feel like the page i created should be deleted? Wikipro2011 22:38, 10 June 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikipro2011 (talkcontribs)

Speedy deletion contested: Deepak bajracharya

Hello Maher-shalal-hashbaz. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Deepak bajracharya, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 23:45, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Contested speedy deletion of Satan Disciples (gang)

I have contested your tagging of Satan Disciples (gang) for speedy deletion. A simple Google search indicates papers and studies related to this gang. I therefore believe it does not meet the criteria for A7. 23:03, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

I have to say, speaking as someone others might describe as a "deletionist", I am somewhat dismayed to hear that. New editors can sometimes put a lot of work into writing an article. If the first thing an experienced editor does with that article is tag it for deletion, it can be pretty discouraging to a new editor and can come off as somewhat bitey. It only takes a few seconds to plug the title of an article into Google to see what comes up.
