Kitao Sakurai[1] (born 1983)[2][3] is a Japanese-American writer, producer and director of film and television.[4][5][6][7] He made his feature directorial debut with Aardvark (2010), which was shot in his hometown Cleveland, Ohio.[8] He also directed the 2021 Netflix film Bad Trip.[9][10][11][12] He cofounded with Andrew Barchilon the New York-based production company Naked Faces.[13] He is also known for his work in The Eric Andre Show.[14][15]

Sakurai was born in Japan and raised in Cleveland.[16]
