Daniel Wass (born 31 May 1989) is a Danish football player who plays for Brøndby IF. He is a right winger/right back. Wass has been rumored to be on the verge of signing for Portuguese team Benfica but at this date no deal has been signed. Brøndby IF has to make a public announcement via the stock exchange and that has not been publicised yet. Also Fiorentina and Schalke 04 have been mentioned as future clubs for Daniel Wass.

He is the cousin of Danish footballer Nicki Bille Nielsen, who plays for Villarreal B.

Career

Daniel Wass has always played in Brøndby, and in 2007, after playing some years at the youth team, he joined the first team. His debut was given in the 2007/2008 season, and he played most of the games that season. In the 2008/2009 season out on injury for a long period, and so, in the summer of 2009 Brøndby chose to loan him out to Fredrikstad from Norway. This was an unsuccessful season for Wass. But his breakthrough season came in 2010/2011, were he has been the preferred right back at Brøndby IF
