Should this template be placed on the Main page or on the Talk page? I've seen it done both ways. Thanks, Londonjackbooks (talk) 05:41, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

: Londonjackbooks This is an excellent question, and one I've had too. As far as I can tell there's no policy requiring it to be any particular place. Personally I feel it is more convenient to have straightforward explanations in the "notes" field of the header template, where the reader can easily find it; I believe most readers would not think to click the "Talk" tab to find such information. But I don't have a policy basis for that, just my opinion. -Pete (talk) 05:06, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

:: Peteforsyth Makes sense to me. If readers only realized that they have just as much to learn from reading a talk page as well! :) Wow! A 13-year-old question! I've been away so long... Be well! Londonjackbooks (talk) 13:03, 29 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]
 • no header - a more generic template, complaining about all the header information missing, not only the source.
 • fidelity

category

[edit]

This template adds Category:Doubtful Fidelity, I see that as a separate issue. How about Category:No source? Cygnis insignis (talk) 09:54, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

template placement

[edit]

Should this template be placed on the Main page or on the Talk page? I've seen it done both ways. Thanks, Londonjackbooks (talk) 05:41, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

@Londonjackbooks: This is an excellent question, and one I've had too. -Pete (talk) 05:06, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
