With a couple of exceptions, Friday and Saturday are expected to mostly sunny and warm across Finland, according to Yle's weather forecast.
The month of May has seen exceptionally dry conditions, which prompted wildfire warnings to be issued this week across almost the entire country.
Yle meteorologist Matti Huutonen pointed out that when such warnings are issued, open fires are prohibited.
Thursday will likely be the eighth day this month that temperatures exceed the "heat wave" level of 25 degrees Celsius. Usually, Finland only sees such warm days about three times in the month of May.
Friday is expected to be mostly sunny across the country, but towards the evening a light precipitation system is expected to spread in western areas, bringing local showers from the coastal city of Vaasa to Kainuu, in North Ostrobothnia.
It will be mostly sunny and warm on Saturday, according to Huutonen.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, but there could be some unstable conditions in the southwest.
He added that it is still too early to tell what conditions will be like during graduation celebrations next week, but at the moment no big changes appear to be in store.
