Stopped by here on our way to the airport. Small parking but plenty around. The spot is small but very clean. A hole in the wall spot I'm glad we found and got to try before we left. I was ordering to go and only one person was taking both to go orders and seating people as they came in. He was super nice and did things really quickly and efficiently while I looked at their menu. Their spam wonton was more like a Rangoon situation and it was DELICIOUS, complete with a honey mayo type dip. Oh man, if I had found these at the beginning of my trip, I probably would have came back every day for them. It was equal salty and savory on the inside, and freshly fried crunchy. The sauce on the side makes all the difference. It was sweet enough that it complimented the salty and savory inside the "wonton". It is VERY filling though, so best to share with people if you plan on getting something else. All I wanted was to try local authentic Loco Moco. I was not disappointed. It was a big portion, 2 scoops of rice, 2 burger patties, 2 eggs perfectly fried over easy. When I cut into the yolk of the egg, it oozed over my already gravied (I'm starting to make up words here) patty and rice and just made this perfect mix that was savory delicious. The Pattie's were grilled to a medium well which is not my preference but the dish was so good and so filling that it was the least of my concerns. They have so many things on the menu that looked so good that I wish I had time to try them. Next time when I'm back in Maui, I will come straight here after the airport. It's only 5 minutes away and tucked away by a bunch of other non food stations in an industrial area. The server there worked hard with the restaurant filled up in seats and more coming in for To go orders.

Just checked The Soop out yesterday, and we enjoyed the experience quite a bit! The kids had some ramen and katsu, we ordered bibimbap and katsu, and there was a shared dish of the soy chicken. Noms! The greens were tasty, and everything was seasoned/textured to mouth watering deliciousness. Very cool seeing the greens growing right next to us on the window sill. Our favorite part was probably the chicken. While it is smaller in size, the crisp outside, and flavor-packed bites meant the bones were picked clean. My partner and I played chess on one of the boards there while waiting for the kiddos to finish eating.

Top five favorite places to eat in Kansas City. Every detail from the front counter to the bathrooms was thought out and fits their vibe. Food is cooked on an open fire which is very unique. All breads are baked in house. The staff is beyond nice and the table markers are old license plates. How cute!

We keep going back--it's so good. And someone was hangry so we asked for a simple side salad (quick & easy) to start since everything there is deliciously (Ohhh so mouthwatering) made to order. Even when it's busy, the owner and staff clearly truly care about getting you served and happy. Grateful! Thank you!!

Been here a couple times now. They have a lovely outside patio for dining. The Chips and Guacamole was a perfect starter, the chips looked homemade and were certainly delicious. Today we had the burger and Ribeye Tacos. The burger is served with Gouda Cheese and Pork Belly. Cooked to perfection, this was more than sufficient as a meal. The Ribeye tacos were equally delicious with the tortillas rich in flavor and the steak plentiful. We went in between lunch and dinner service, so the service was particularly fast but never have had an issue with service.

A hidden gem in downtown Palatine! It's a small place serving one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Got the Cubano and the meat was extremely tender and flavorful. It had a perfect balance of richness from the meat and cheese and acidity from the pickles. The bread was crisp yet not hard and had the good crunch. The chopped chicken salad was also good with an extremely large portion size. Had a good amount of chicken and bacon and the avocado a perfect addition. Staff was extremely friendly and I felt like I was treated like family.

Healthy and hearty mung bean soup highly recommended! Lovely, homestyle, atmosphere, brilliant homestyle Chef cooks up the best quality nutritious ingredients, as if I were a beloved family member whom they want to nourish with the best of the best! today was my first time at this hidden gem restaurant. As I waited for my takeout order, I met new friends who were also there for the first time. I love this restaurant. I will be back to try all the other soul food on the menu.
