Popular Tamil choreographer Sandy, who made his debut as an actor with Vijay's Leo in 2023 is all set to make his debut in Malayalam too.

The choreographer-actor has joined the cast of Jayasurya's highly-anticipated supernatural fantasy thriller film Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer according to an announcement made by the film's makers on July 5. The news was announced to mark the actor-dance master’s birthday, and the social media post was accompanied by a short, animated video that carried out the dual duties of welcoming Sandy onboard the team of the film while also wishing him a happy birthday.

An Official Welcome Into Malayalam Films

The video was shared with the caption, "Happy Birthday, @iamsandy_off We're excited to have you join us on this amazing journey with 'Kathanar.' Your talent and energy are a wonderful addition to our team. Welcome aboard, and here's to your first Malayalam movie!"

Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer has already created a lot of buzz within the Malayalam film industry. The success of director Rojin's previous National Film Award-winning film #Home, has doubled the anticipation of movie buffs. The addition of Sandy Master to the team has generated a lot of excitement among the fans who are still reeling from his short but phenomenal performance in Leo, which now goes by the popular moniker "The Chocolate Coffee Scene".

Another Malayalam Project On The List

Meanwhile, the makers of Dileep's upcoming film Bha Bha Bha too released an official confirmation that Sandy would be joining their team too through a similar post where they released a poster wishing him a happy birthday, while also making the announcement of his addition to the film. The poster was shared with the caption, "Wish you a very happy birthday, @iamsandy_off master. We're absolutely thrilled to have you onboard in our #WorldofMAdneSS."

Coincidentally, both films are being bankrolled by Sree Gokulam Movies.

More news regarding Sandy's role in either film is awaited, as it is unknown whether he has joined Bha Bha Bha as an actor or as choreographer, so an official reveal is expected soon.
