People sure seem to like Amazon’s adaptation of The Boys, and Amazon likes it when folks are watching its shows, which makes the news that the gritty superhero show has been renewed for a fifth season anything but a surprise.

After announcing the new live-action Fantastic Four leads, Marvel revealed that Julia Garner will play a new version of the Silver Surfer, now Deadline is reporting that they’ll all be beefing with Ralph Ineson’s Galactus when the movie hits theaters.
Batman: Caped Crusader jumping ship to Amazon Studios after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger made it seem like the project might never see the light of day. But the series now has an August 1st premiere date, and it seems like when the show drops, it will be introducing yet another new Harley Quinn riff.
We already knew what Warner Bros.’ new live-action Clark Kent (David Corenswet) would look like out of costume, but now we know what to expect from a fully suited-up Superman. Seems like James Gunn has gone for an aesthetic that’s classic, if a little baggy in the shoulders.
The first season of My Adventures with Superman left most of the superheroic heavy lifting to Clark Kent (Jack Quaid) as villains terrorized metropolis. Even more of Superman’s classic foes are making their way to the show in its second season (out May 25th.) But this time around, the Man of Steel is going to have a bit more Kryptonian muscle on his side.
Disney Plus is well on its way to becoming a cable channel, and the final trailer for X-Men ‘97 makes it feel like the series is going to be following suit given the Cable of it all.
Yggsgard, a fusion of Asgard and Yggdrasill, is just one of the destructible battlefields where Marvel Rivals’ characters will be duking it out when the game launches later this year. The map looks gorgeous in this new reveal video, but it also seems like the sort of place that’s going to be fun to blast apart.
The last time Heroes was brought back from the dead led to one of the most befuddling bits of superhero storytelling to ever make it to air, but Tim Kring is reportedly shopping around a new show — Heroes: Eclipsed — that will feature “familiar villains and new enemies.”
There are any number of reasons Joaquin Phoenix is sobbing in the new Joker: Folie à Deux teaser, but it probably has something to do with the fact that the proper trailer isn’t dropping until later tonight.
Sure, Joaquin Phoenix is in the movie, but we’re all showing up to see Joker: Folie à Deux for Lady Gaga’s turn as Harley Quinn. Every official photo of the duo in costume has looked promising so far, but after the musical thriller’s first trailer drops on Sunday, we’ll probably know what they sound like together.
Former DC Comics freelancer Christopher Wozniak sued Warner Bros and DC over allegedly lifting the plot for Matt Reeves’ movie, The Batman, from a Batman story he wrote. Unfortunately, Reuters reports that last week a judge decided that, actually, his story infringed on DC’s characters.
Both stories are summarized in the decision, and sure, Wozniak’s tale has some similar beats, but also old Batman, a viral outbreak, and a Joker reveal at the end. Read for yourself in the gallery below.

You can easily watch most of Sony’s live-action Spider-Man movies on Disney Plus if the mood strikes you. But if you’ve been yearning to see Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s Peters Parker back on the big screen, you’ll have a shot at catching all eight of the past Spidey films in select theaters beginning April 15th.
Aside from Batman and Superman, we don’t really know which DC superheroes will make up the foundation of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new cinematic universe of cape projects at Warner Bros. Discovery.
But the studio’s just announced its plans to produce a new live-action Teen Titans movie from writer Ana Nogueira, which — for other films — could portend the arrival of characters like Wonder Woman and the Flash as the larger franchise continues to come together.

Between the gruesome murders, supernatural resurrection, and moody quest for vengeance, director Rupert Sanders’ upcoming remake of The Crow seems like it should have all the right ingredients to appeal to fans of the original comic.
And yet, watching the movie’s new trailer, there’s something that feels kind of off — maybe it’s the Yolandi Visser cut — about Bill Skarsgård’s take on the undead vigilante. The film’s out June 7th.
It’s kind of telling how X-Men ‘97’s creator / showrunner Beau DeMayo isn’t featured in this new sizzle reel hyping up the show before its March 20th premiere, but the cast seems pretty excited to be back voicing their iconic roles.
While Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II was originally slated for an October 2025 release date, Warner Bros. has reportedly bumped the project back by a full year.

Osamu Tezuka’s 1986 manga Midnight probably hasn’t been on your radar as a series primed for a live-action adaptation, but its story about a loney taxi driver is the inspiration behind director Takashi Miike’s new 19-minute-long short film produced in collaboration with Apple and shot on an iPhone 15 Pro.
The art of turning iconic animated TV shows into legitimately good live action series and films is something Hollywood still hasn’t quite figured out. But that’s not stopping Legendary from making a live-action Naruto movie with Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton.

It feels like the first half of Invincible’s second season only just dropped, but Amazon’s already gearing up to debut the second half next month.
We’re still a few months out from the premiere of The Umbrella Academy ‘s fourth and final season, but we now know that the show’s due back on August 8th thanks to this set of style-focused posters from Netflix.

Sony’s Madame Web isn’t especially great or terrible, but it’s surprisingly committed to transporting you back to 2003 — a golden age for comic book movies that were aggressively mid or worse.
When Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock creator Leiji Matsumoto passed away exactly one year ago at the age of 85, there was an outpouring of grief for the legendary manga creator.
But as quick as people were to express their respect and admiration for Matsumoto, it’s a little surprising and depressing to see him back in an ai-generated video hyping up new Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock tied to the series’ upcoming 50th anniversaries.
As big a deal as it was when Franklin became the first Black Peanuts character (in the wake of Martin Luther King’s assassination, mind you), it’s been rare to see him really meaningfully involved in the lives of Charlie Brown and his other friends.
But after years of being a essentially background character, Franklin’s about to get his due in an all-new Apple TV Plus animated special out February 16th.
Is apparently a question Marvel’s What If...? is going to ask when its third season hits Disney Plus at some point in the future.
Folks were very quick to complain last November about Invincible’s second season dropping in two separate batches. But those same folks are probably going to be overjoyed to hear the show’s returning on March 14th.
Now let’s see if anyone starts appreciating how making shows takes time.
There have been so many middling spinoffs of AMC’s The Walking Dead that it has become easy to miss when a new one’s debuting.
But between the way The Walking Dead: Those Who Live’s new trailer brings Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira’s Michonne back into the picture, and makes it seem like the two will be reunited, the show might just be worth a watch when it premieres on February 25th.
Disney Plus’ Echo limited miniseries feels like the studio’s first successful attempt at matching the energy that made Netflix’s Marvel shows great.
The first season of Disney and Marvel’s animation Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur ended with a cliffhanger that made it seem like Lunella Lafayette might be lost somewhere in the multiverse.
But in a new trailer for the animated show’s upcoming second season (out February 2nd), the young hero appears to be back in her home reality, rocking some new threads, and very ready to keep New York’s villains on their toes.
