A former Conshohocken man who stayed with and comforted a dying pedestrian who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Whitemarsh Township and who provided information to police that helped lead to a conviction of the driver was awarded a civilian commendation by Montgomery County’s top law enforcement officer.
