The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People outlines seven principles to improve effectiveness. Habit 1 involves being proactive by responding to situations based on values rather than reacting emotionally. Habit 2 means beginning with the end in mind by envisioning the ideal future and working backwards. Habit 3, put first things first, prioritizes important goals and tasks. Habit 4 is think win-win, seeking mutual benefit in interactions. Habit 5 is to first seek to understand others before being understood. Habit 6, synergize, creates cooperation for greater collective results. Habit 7 involves self-renewal of skills, values, physical, and mental resources.
