THE BASICS
 Thermax Social Initiative Foundation(TSIF) aims to
bridge the educational inequity between India’s
private & public school going children.
TSIF supports two of Akanksha Foundation’s (AF)
after school learning centers where children from
municipal schools spends 2.5 hoursday.
TSIF funds the Pune operations of TFI and also
provides them with administration & volunteering
support.

SUSTAINABILITY
The signing of long term MOUs with the Municipal
Corporation of Pune for setting up of model
schools,backed by increasing financial support from
Thermax ltd.
Encourages support from a wider audience including
State governments and large corporates.
TSIF has formed strong partnership with reputable
non-profits such as AF and TFI and leverages their
technical expertise and teacher training program for
sustaining their own initiatives.

SCALABILITY
 Long term MOUs are a step in the right direction
but TSIF is delays in setting up new models schools
TSIF’s schools requires a stronger ‘buy-in’ from
large corporates and state govt.
Thermal Ltd has increased their CSR support from
1% to 3% profits specifically for setting up a teacher
training institute.

CONCLUSION
 ANU AGA is mainly focused on educational support
for underprivileged children as well as promoting
electoral and governance reforms.
