We live in an unreal world where everything is either perfectly wonderful or absolutely terrible. Each person is unique and powerful in their own way. Self love is the greatest love. It is something that is never taught to us in schools and colleges but it plays an important role in shaping the personality of an individual. The whole of this idea is a matter of maturing. Accepting and embracing ourselves leads us to a wonderful journey of success and happiness. If we do not respect our own wishes, no one else will. Amidst all the chaos and commotion of life, we often forget to realize our own worth. Before anyone else's acceptance, we need to first accept ourselves.Nowadays, everyone is under the constant pressure of being the best and standing out in the competition that it leads to low self esteem and brings emptiness in our lives. Therefore, by practicing self love we can uplift and nourish our soul and provide way for bringing immense happiness and contentment into our lives. We need to realize the significance of loving ourselves and inculcate the essence of self love in our daily life to lead a better and happier life with more zest and enthusiasm. This is extremely uplifting and liberating for all the human beings.

The 7 habits of highly effective people slideshare-31-10-2010CMA Tapan Kumar Dhar
This document summarizes Stephen Covey's book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People". It discusses the seven habits and their principles. Habit 1 is being proactive by focusing on things within your circle of influence. Habit 2 involves beginning with the end in mind by creating a personal mission statement. Habit 3 is putting first things first by prioritizing important tasks.
The secret to success is your mindset. Your mindset is your state of mind that is focused on achieving goals and gives you motivation to do what it takes. There is no true secret to success besides developing a powerful mindset. Your mindset empowers you to take action and make decisions that lead to success, rather than procrastination. To develop a successful mindset, you must learn about personal development through books and courses in order to master controlling your thoughts and focusing on your goals.
To stay motivated to study, set realistic goals by writing them down and setting short-term milestones. Schedule time daily for your goals and reward yourself upon completing chunks of work. Take control by getting organized, minimizing distractions, and just starting to study regardless of motivation. Remind yourself that challenges are temporary. If competitive, approach assignments as challenges and try to do outstanding work. Seek support from others who have a stake in your success.
The document discusses the importance of having a strong belief in oneself and one's abilities. It explains that if a person does not believe they deserve success, they will not be able to achieve it. Several tips are provided on developing self-trust, including facing fears and doubts, and believing in one's natural gifts. The power of belief, or faith, is described as the most powerful force, and that outcomes are determined by one's beliefs about what can or cannot be achieved.
This document discusses motivation and goal setting for athletes. It explains that athletes are driven to improve and succeed through both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Effective goal setting involves understanding one's commitment level and desired performance, setting specific and measurable goals at an appropriate level of difficulty, and providing feedback when goals are achieved or failed. You have been assigned to manage a project but have no clue how and where to begin. It sounds like an opportunity but it can also turn out to be a disaster if you do not possess the knowledge and skills.
You must have come across a book called The Project Management Body of Knowledge which is most commonly called PMBOK. PMBOK is about processes, tools, and techniques to manage a project. It does not talk about the art and science of executing a project from the initial phase to the end of the project life cycle. PMBOK introduces you to a bunch of processes that you may use in managing a project, initiation processes for the project initiation phase, planning group of processes that you may apply during the planning phase, and the list goes on. After reading the PMBOK guide, you still have no idea where to begin. If you do not have the time then what you need is a book that will provide a birds-eye view and content that is sufficient enough to assist you in kicking off a project. Get this book now and begin to kick off a project like a pro.

2. SELF MOTIVATION
• Self-motivation is a guiding force that is very important in
your life.
• All of us have certain goals and targets in life. Youpursue these
goals and work towards achieving the targets
• If we do not have sufficient goals in life we may be living our life
without any proper sense of direction or aim.
• This will eventually lead us to nowhere and we may leave this
world without achieving anything concrete in life.
2
3. WHY DO WE NEED SELF- MOTIVATION?
There are many things that self-motivation can do for you:
• Self-motivation encourages you to plan goalsand the strategies to achieve
them.
• Self-motivation adds excitement and enthusiasm into your life. Youadd zest to
your life and your activities become much more interesting
• Self-motivation increases and supports your willpower which cushions you
when you face obstacles or setbacks. Youmove along boldly against the
challenges and adversities in your life.
• Self-motivation prepares and encourages to accept new opportunities, try new
techniques and seek new adventures
3
5. A Formula for Motivation
V x E = M
• V = Values (how important something is to us)
• E = Expectation (how confident we are about
achieving it)
• M = Motivation (how motivated we are when you
multiple V and E)
5
6. Example of V x E = M
• Joe’s goal is to earn an “A”
in his English class
• Joe want’s to become a
published author, so his
goal has high value, a 10
• Joe always has done well
in writing course, so his
expectation of success is
also 10
• Joe’s formula:
V x E = M
10 x 10 = 100
• Clearly, his motivation is
high
• Dive Deeper: What if it
was a science class?
Science is not Joe’s
favorite subject.

7. How to Set a Goal Using DAPPS
• To be truly motivating, a goal needs 5 qualities
• “DAPPS” is an acronym:
– Dated
– Achievable
– Personal
– Positive
– Specific
7
8. Dated
• Motivating goals have specific deadlines
• Short term goals are a few months or less
• Long term goals are usually more than a year
• As your deadline approaches, your motivation
typically increases
• If you don’t meet your deadline, you have
opportunity to review and create a new plan
• Without a deadline, you could stretch your
pursuit of a goal and may not reach it
8
9. Achievable
• Motivating goals are challenging but realistic
• Example:
– Getting ready for a marathon:
• Practice one week before by running around the block
• Practice one year before with someone who has done it
• Set your limit… not too high and not too low
• Ask yourself: “Is achieving this goal at least 50%
believable to me?” Or “Can this be done?”
9
10. Personal
• Motivating goals are your
goals, not someone else’s
• Ask yourself if this goal
contribute to your personal
desire/dream?
10
11. Positive
• Motivating goals focus your energy on what you
do want rather than on what you don’t want
• Translate negative goals into positive goals
– Negative: I’m not going to fail this class
– Positive: I’m going to earn at least a B in this class
– Negative: I will stop being late to classes
– Positive: I will arrive early to every class
– Negative: I will stop eating junk food
– Positive: I will start eating healthy food
11
12. Specific
• Motivating goals state outcomes in specific,
measurable terms
• Example
– Good: My goal is to do better this semester
– Better: I goal is to achieve a 8.5 GPA by Dec. 12, 20XX
– Good: My goal is to play harder on the basketball
court
– Better: My goal is to achieve at least 80% field goal by
Oct. 15, 20XX
12
13. Review DAPPS
Dated: specific deadlines for goals
Achievable: realistic goals
Personal: goals are your goals, not someone
else’s
Positive: focus your energy on what you do
want rather than what you don’t want
Specific: goals state outcomes in specific,
measurable terms
13
15. Set Goals
• A major mistake made by most people is that they set their goals
only in “mind”. And anything out of mind turns out to be out of
sight.
• Hence, make a note of all the goals that you intend to achieve,
before you sleep in a notepad and place it right in front of you.
• Every morning when you wake up, a look at the notepad would
remind you of the targets. Moreover, make realistic goals that can
be achieved.
• Unset goal in life is like starting a business without having a capital
to invest.
15
16. Stay Focused
• Another problem with most people is that they get influenced by
other people easily.
• Often, people try to divert you from your goal, thereby creating
bad feelings that are worthless and rubbish.
• As the popular saying goes, “Don’t get mad, get even”. Hence, take
those bad feelings as a challenge and make efforts to minimize
them.
• Whenever you feel someone is trying to pull you back, work twice
hard and prove them wrong.
16
17. Do Not Procrastinate
• Once you have set goals for yourself, do not make excuses to delay
them, else you will never be able to achieve them.
• Never let procrastination come in your way of accomplishing the
tasks.
• The best way of keeping it at bay is to start working on the goals
immediately.
• Break down the goals into small bits to make them easily
achievable.
17
18. Stay Positive
• In case you are finding it hard to stay focused on your goals, the
best way is to stay optimistic and positive towards reaching the
final line.
• Confidence and optimism serve as your best friends in your tough
and rough times.
• Spend adequate time with family and friends who themselves
are positive and motivated.
• People who are discouraging and pessimistic should be
kept at distance.
18
19. Reward Yourself
• The best and perfect way to keep motivating yourself is by
rewarding yourself on completing a particular task.
• Conquering small battles is the best motivation secret for moving
on to the next goal.
• Through rewarding and congratulating yourself, you are increasing
your self-esteem. Hence, self motivation gets easier and
attainable.
19
