The UEFA Champions League fantasy season is red hot, and we’re approaching the exciting final! We hope you’ve been following along with our UCL player picks articles throughout the season. As we head into MD-12, the penultimate round of fixtures, we’re here again to share our top picks for your UCL fantasy team.

Keepers

Andriy Lunin (€4.8m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Kicking things off with the goalkeepers, our pick this week is Los Blancos’ Andriy Lunin because of his impressive performance against Man City in the quarterfinals. Madrid employed a defensive strategy in the 2nd match, absorbing pressure and conceding only one goal against City’s potent attack. We’re hoping for a similar defensive approach from Madrid this time, which could lead to a clean sheet for Lunin.

And there’s good news regarding his starting chances: with Courtois still working on match fitness, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Lunin will get the nod in goal against Bayern on Wednesday.

Gregor Kobel (€5m, PSG v Dortmund)

Kobel reigns supreme as this season’s top UCL Fantasy keeper. The Dortmund shot-stopper boasts an impressive 51 fantasy points, averaging a solid 5.1 points per matchday. Compared to other options like Neuer and Donnarumma, Kobel offers significant value at a lower price point.

Kobel shut out PSG to secure a clean sheet in Germany in the first leg, and we’re hoping for a repeat performance in Paris in the 2nd.

Defenders

Maatsen (€4.7m, PSG v Dortmund)

Maatsen is a budget-friendly gem. This attacking fullback has proven himself a valuable UCL Fantasy asset throughout the season. In his last two outings, he racked up an impressive 14 points. He even contributed to a clean sheet in his most recent match, and we’re hoping for a similar defensive performance in MD-12.

Rudiger (€5.4m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Rüdiger is a guaranteed starter for a team known for tightening up defensively in big matches. While fullbacks might provide more attacking returns, center-backs like Rüdiger can be crucial for clean sheets and points for interceptions. And hey, you never know –– Rüdiger has a knack for popping up with the occasional headed goal from set pieces, adding another dimension to his fantasy potential.

~

Achraf Hakimi (€6.1m, PSG v Dortmund)

Dortmund’s conveyor belt of talent strikes again! Achraf Hakimi, a former Dortmund player, lines up for Paris Saint-Germain, facing his former club for the third time this season. Interestingly, his lone UCL goal this season came against this German side.

While primarily a defender, Hakimi boasts impressive attacking stats, with one assist in Europe (against Barcelona) and a combined 12 goals plus assists across all competitions. That’s not all –– His defensive contributions shouldn’t be overlooked either, with a strong showing of 53 ball recoveries, guaranteeing a decent floor regardless of the final score.

~

Raphaël Guerreiro (€5m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Every fantasy manager dreams of a defender who consistently contributes in attack, and Guerreiro fits the bill perfectly. Deployed as a wing-back for Bayern, he pushes high up the pitch, putting himself in prime positions to rack up goals and assists. His attacking potential is undeniable, with the constant threat of finding the back of the net or setting up a teammate for glory. Caveat: He was an unused sub in the 1st leg, and we won’t see Bayern’s lineup until Wednesday.

Midfielders

Vitinha (€6.1m, PSG v Dortmund)

Hitting a hot streak at just the right time is PSG’s Vitinha. In his last three games, the Parisian midfielder has amassed a total of 22 fantasy points. Even in his previous UCL outing, where he didn’t register a goal or assist, Vitinha’s defensive contributions shone through, earning him an additional three points from his impressive nine ball recoveries. This versatility highlights his value as a potential difference-maker for your fantasy squad.

~

Jamal Musiala (€8.4m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Musiala is a reliable midfield option, not be a high-risk / high-reward player. In leg-1 he delivered a solid five points, earning a penalty and adding a point for three ball recoveries. Hoping for a repeat performance this time around, Musiala could be a dependable contributor to your midfield.

~

Jude Bellingham (€8.0m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Bellingham remains a top midfield pick. While his returns haven’t been as explosive in the knockout rounds (his best being five points with an assist against RB Leipzig), his ceiling is too high and his price too reasonable to leave him out. We all know big players rise to the occasion, so in Wednesday’s do-or-die clash, Bellingham is primed for a breakout performance.

~

Leroy Sané (€9.1m, R Madrid v Bayern): Riding high after his impressive showing in the first leg, we’re backing Sané again for MD-12. We’re hoping he can repeat his heroics and deliver another goal against Los Blancos in the return fixture.

~

Marcel Sabitzer (€5.7m, Dortmund): Looking for a differential pick with a low ownership rate (currently only 5%)? Look no further than Dortmund’s Marcel Sabitzer. This solid midfielder possesses an eye for goal, which he showcased in MD-10 with a dazzling performance against Atletico Madrid, grabbing a goal and adding two assists for good measure.

~

Jadon Sancho (€7.1m, Dortmund): If you crave a more attacking option, Jadon Sancho (on loan from Man United) is a great shout. He seems to have rediscovered his confidence at Dortmund, and with his current form, a big return could be on the horizon.

Forwards

Kylian Mbappe (€11.7m, PSG v Dortmund)

The stakes couldn’t be higher for PSG, and they’ll undoubtedly be relying on their talisman Kylian Mbappé to lead the charge. As the current UCL top scorer, Mbappé’s goalscoring prowess is undeniable. With a massive game on the horizon, we’re firmly backing PSG’s main man as a top pick for your fantasy team.

~

Harry Kane (€10.2m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Kane is on fire for Bayern! He has been a goal machine, racking up an impressive 44 goals in all competitions. That kind of form makes him a no-brainer for your fantasy team. Not only is he lighting up the Bundesliga, but he’s also leading the chase for the UCL Golden Boot (8), tied with Mbappe. Kane is a strong captain-2 contender this week!

~

Vinicius Jr (€11.1m, Real Madrid v Bayern)

Vini Jr. has been impressive in this Champions League campaign, scoring a brace in his last outing. This showcases his explosiveness as a forward, making him a solid choice.
