Thursday/Friday BP: Giants promotions this weekend

Good morning, baseball fans!

The San Francisco Giants have a rare day off at home today before welcoming the Colorado Rockies to Oracle Park for a three-game series this weekend.

If you are thinking about getting out to a game, here are the special events and promotional giveaways you can look forward to.

Friday night will be Japanese Heritage night at the ballpark, with special event tickets providing access to pre-game festivities and a cherry blossom jersey giveaway. If you already have a special event ticket, congratulations because this one is sold out.

Saturday afternoon will feature a long sleeve hooded shirt giveaway to the first 15,000 fans in attendance. The shirt is black with orange on the inside of the hood and an orange SF logo on the center of the chest.

Sunday’s game will be another Youth Baseball Day event, this time with orange socks being given away to the first 7,500 fans age 14 and younger.
