Good morning, baseball fans!
I wish I wasn’t writing this for the second weekend in a row, but we have yet another concussion-like injury to a San Francisco Giants player. During the first inning of last night’s 4-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, Austin Slater collided hard with the center-field wall.

He was pulled from the game, thankfully, and as of the time this is being written had not yet been placed on the concussion IL, but I image he will be soon.
This comes on the heels of a really rough weekend in Philadelphia that saw (on top of a four-game sweep of losses) the Giants lose both Patrick Bailey (concussion) and Tom Murphy (knee sprain) in the span of 24 hours.
Hopefully Slater is okay, concussions are very serious and can have very harmful long-term effects. So as always, I’m hopeful that the team will handle the situation with care.
What time do the Giants play this weekend?
The Giants continue their series against the Reds this weekend, with Saturday’s game starting at 4:15 p.m. and Sunday’s game starting at 1:05 p.m. PT.
