BREAKING: Tchouameni injured with stress injury on his left foot

Real Madrid have announced that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has suffered a stress injury on his left foot.

After the tests carried out today, Tchouameni has been diagnosed with a stress injury to his left foot. Pending evolution.

The club did not reveal the extent of this injury and while Tchouameni did suffer a similar injury earlier this season, it’s not clear if he has actually fractured a bone in his foot.

Right now, his presence in the upcoming Champions League Final against Borussia Dortmund —June 1st— appears to be in jeopardy, although more information on Tchouameni’s injury should be reveal over the next few hours.

If the French midfielder can’t recover in time for the Final, expect Eduardo Camavinga to start as the team’s defensive midfielder alongside Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde, with Modric being the main midfielder off the bench later in the game.
