Minor league update for 4/25/24

Jack Leiter was very good on Thursday

Paul Bonzagni started for Down East, throwing four innings and allowing one run. Kohl Drake struck out 7 in 4.1 IP, walking one and allowing one run.

19 year old Gleider Figuereo continued his strong start to the season, hitting his fourth home run of the year.

Hickory starter Luis Ramirez threw four shutout innings, striking out six, walking three and allowing just one hit. Leandro Lopez went three innings, allowing a pair of runs, striking out three and walking one.

Ian Moller had a hit, a walk and a stolen base. Daniel Mateo had a hit.

Abi Ortiz was 3 for 5 with a double and a triple for Frisco. Cody Freeman was 5 for 5 with a double, a stolen base and a pair of homers. Aaron Zavala had a hit and a walk.

Jack Leiter started for the Express and went six innings, striking out eight, walking three and allowing just one hit. He threw 53 of 86 pitches for strikes, generated 19 whiffs, and averaged 96.2 mph on his fastball, topping out at 98.1 mph.
