Severance (2022)
Astounding
Season 2 of this show is something I've been anticipating from the second I finished the first one (which only took me a few days). Great storytelling, from the thriller plot to the commentary on corporate America. Many details left me with questions, which I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the answers to. By the end of the season, I only had more questions. And I'm still anxiously awaiting the answers. My jaw dropped various times throughout the show. It's easy to get invested in these characters and their lives. I am constantly recommending Severance to people. The cinematography and visuals are very impressive, along with the storyline. Whenever we get an official date for the release of season 2, I'll be making sure my schedule is clear.
La Noria (2018)
beautiful
Highly captivating and emotional. I applaud the creativity of the people who made this! I watched it without any prior knowledge and so glad I did, this short film took me on a journey. I wasn't expecting that at all--it was an animated twelve-minute video recommended on my YouTube, where I was only trying to kill time. It starts out seeming like a little boy's nightmare, creepy and well-made regardless--but nothing spectacular. La Noria quickly turns into a heartwarming story about grief, guilt, and hope. I felt the whole spectrum of emotions, with fear in my heart at the beginning and tears of joy and purity in my eyes by the end.
