Not bad, but the Ahsoka novel is better
This isn't a bad episode by any means. However, I genuinely do not understand why they did not just adapt the Ahsoka novel more closely. Some aspects were kept, but others like Kaeden Laerte were excluded for some reason. And given her importance to Ahsoka's growth, why erase her?
The novel was also much much better in keeping with previously established canon of Ahsoka in Clone Wars and Rebels. If you liked this episode, but wanted more, read the novel Ahsoka by EK. Johnston for a much more pleasant and fulfilling experience.
Dave Filoni continues to egregiously retcon and overrule any writer who is not him when it comes to characters like Ahsoka.
