I enjoyed very much this excursion at La Rochelle: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects of this region: the particularities of La Rochelle (the belonging to the Southwetrs of France, the best sunshine of the French Atlantic Coast, the Stade Rochelais-the local rugby team with a great history, the rugby player Zoe and the proud to play in this team), the sailboats ( Pierre Marie Berard-the boat owner- and Carole and Alexandre who practice sailing on his boat, Olivia Wattinne and the Estrella-lab sailboat, the facilities for handicaped persons to learn sailing), the environmental protection (Angélique Fontainaud and the assoiation Echo-mer, the cleaning of the port, the recycling of the sailclothes, Anne Cigolotti and the people looking for the oysters in the beaches-the importance to protect the fauna-, Guillaume and Mathieu and the investigation about the reproduction of marine species- the seahorse for example-, the Aquarium of La Rochelle with 600 species), the "Lycée maritime et aquacole of La Rochelle ( the professor Jean and the repairing of fishing net, the practices in the fish market or the practics on the training boat-the maintenance of the boat and the rescue of man in the water), the oyster farm of Oléron (Franck Deyres and his oyster farm-the use of natural oysters- ,Evelyne Neron-Morgat and the association of Fort Royer-the restoration of a oyster farmers village and Bruno Gauvain-meilleur ouvrier de France écailler- showing how to open an oyster) and the Island of Aix (Valérie Valade and the horse and carriage tour on the island with her Percheron horses, her duty also as deputy mayor, Pierre Privat, second deputy mayor and member of the local marine escue team, Alison and Franck and the management of the restored Hôtel Napoléon).
I enjoyed the encunters of Jérôme Pitorin with the classic cars collectors Michel Bourdeau and Corinne Chauveau, with the guide Alexandre Caquineau, with the chef Christopher Coutanceau, with the illustrator Christophe Esclafit, with André "Yul" Bronner, with with Marie Dalmon Merlino, with the comedian Bilout, with with the salt producer Amandine Glinche, with the cooks Fabienne and Jean-Philippe Andrez and with the skipper and writer Fabien Clauw; nice encounters with very kind French en and women.
