Award winning producer, cinematographer, lighting director, and commercial photographer, David Gamerman is a veteran of the motion picture industry with over 35 years experience. He has worked on national commercials for Coke, Kawasaki, Sunkist, as well as international commercials for Sprite and Heineken, which sent him all over the world.
In the last 27 years David has worked with such Oscar winning Directors of Photography as Robert Richardson,ASC (Wag the Dog), Ellen Kuras ASC (The Mod Squad), Robert Brinkman (The Cable Guy), Newton Thomas Segal ASC (The Usual Suspects). Throughout the 1990's he was involved in many of the music videos that topped MTV and VH1 playlists. In addition, his work on the Truth.com campaign won Ad Ages "Campaign of the Year" for PSA's.
David holds a BA in commercial photography from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit where he studied under the mentorship of Walter Farynk, the head of GM Photographic. Upon completing his degree, he spent the next 8 years honing his lighting and photographic skills by shooting automobile catalogs for all the major Auto manufactures before turning his interests to motion pictures.
He was the Chief Rigging Technician for the hit Fox drama "Bones". David prelit the show for 12 seasons, 246 episodes . He has also prelit the FX show American Horror Story "Cult".
Recently, he was the Cinematographer and Producer for "Just Me and All of You" starring Naomi Grossman, a short film that won an Award of Merit at the 2014 Best of Short Festival.
In addition, David has produced and shot short and comedic films. He also finds time to enjoy his love of boating and beach life.
