Harrison Ford is all set to make his MCU debut as Kevin Feige chose him to be the replacement for late actor William Hurt. Ford will be playing Thaddeus Ross a.k.a Thunderbolt in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. The latest teaser of the film also hints at his transformation as Red Hulk.
While Ford’s transformation is yet to be shown in the promos, fans have scoured the Internet to find the veteran star’s other transformation. He played newscaster Mack Tannen in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, in which he is revealed to be a werehyena. The actor had a legendary cameo in the film.

The new trailer of Captain America: Brave New World saw the MCU debut of Harrison Ford. The veteran will play the role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, replacing actor William Hurt after his demise in 2022. The trailer also showed a glimpse of Red Hulk, implying that Ford is not just a political figure in the film, but also a superhero.
While fans seemed excited about Ford’s appearance as Red Hulk, one aspect of Ross’s characteristics seems to have irked them. In the comics, Thunderbolt Ross is known for his mustache, with other character iterations such as Sam Elliott and William Hurt sticking to that design. However, Ford seems to be clean-shaven in the upcoming film.

When Faith Hill completed filming Taylor Sheridan’s 1883, she also set aside her 20-year-long fear of horses. Hill played the Dutton family matriarch, Margaret Dutton, who was the ancestor of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton in Yellowstone. Her pair in the series was her real-life husband Tim McGraw, who also got to ride on the back of a horse after several years.

Forty years old this year, the neo-noir Blood Simple marked the debut of Joel and Ethan Coen, and remains a captivating example of low-budget filmmaking.
To date, Joel and Ethan Coen haven’t made a pure horror film (though they’ve talked about it). Blood Simple, their 1984 debut, undoubtedly comes close. A neo-noir shot on a low budget, it shows that the writer-director brothers had their style down right from the beginning of their careers. Its script is witty and terse; its photography is fluid and stylish; its characters and tone are somehow both mundane and off-beat. Like so many of their later film, Blood Simple also defies easy categorisation; it’s a neo-noir, it’s a black comedy, and in several visceral scenes, dips gleefully into horror.
Much like Fargo or The Big Lebowski or any other thriller-infused Coen brothers film you could name, there are no criminal masterminds in Blood Simple – just ordinary,...

When it comes to war dramas and westerns, few actors resonate emotionally with audiences as deeply as Sam Elliott and George MacKay. Their recent roles in Yellowstone prequel 1883 and Oscar-nominated epic 1917, respectively, have showcased their profound ability to convey the harrowing experiences of conflict. The Heartfelt Performance Elliott plays Shea Brennan in the hit series 1883. Throughout the first two episodes, he has stolen the scene every time he appears on screen. Taylor Sheridan took the television industry by storm when he came out with his neo-Western drama series, Yellowstone. Currently in its fifth season, the series has been met with unending praise from the critics as well as the fans. However, there is one actor out there who isn’t too fond of the show despite being a part of the franchise – Sam Elliot.

Taylor Sheridan might have started off on the wrong foot during his Hollywood career, but he sure has gotten along exceptionally well. George P. Cosmatos' 1993 Western "Tombstone" begins in the year 1879 and ends in 1881 at the infamous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Said gunfight was a notably bloody shootout between the local law enforcers of Tombstone, Arizona and a local gang of criminals nicknamed the Cowboys. The law was represented by the Earp brothers Wyatt, Virgil, and James, and they have gone down as important figures in the history of the American West.
In the movie, Wyatt Earp is played by Kurt Russell, and the old lawman is depicted as a formerly violent man trying to eschew his instincts to shoot others. Wyatt hopes to be peaceful and gentle and live quietly with his common-law wife Sadie (Dana Delaney). Spoiler alert: he's not successful. Indeed, the violence is so brazenly inevitable in Westerns, one wonders why anyone even entertains the thought of giving peace a chance. The potential gunshot victims in...

Kevin Costner is so heavily associated with the Western genre that he not only departed the most epic Western saga of recent years, but did so in order to make his own epic Western saga. The Dances With Wolves and Open Range legend had, in recent years, been the face of TV smash Yellowstone – the Taylor Sheridan series that became a ratings juggernaut, and spawned an entire universe of spin-off shows set in different eras of American history. But before the show's end, Costner departed the role of John Dutton III, partly in order to direct and star in his multi-part movie Western series Horizon: An American Saga. With the largely self-funded Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 hitting cinemas soon, Yellowstone fans will get their Costner Western fix – but as it stands, the star won’t appear in the upcoming final run of the TV smash.

The 1989 action classic Road House (watch it Here) recently got a decent enough Prime Video remake that’s set to receive a sequel – which is something the original movie should have gotten around 1991 or so. Is it fair to say that "Tombstone" is one of the best Westerns ever made? At the very least, it's definitely one of the best modern Westerns. Directed by George P. Cosmatos, the stylish, violent saga tells the story of Wyatt Earp and the infamous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Kurt Russell and his glorious mustache stars as Earp, with Val Kilmer stealing the entire movie as Earp's sickly buddy, Doc Holliday. The stacked cast also includes Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn, Dana Delany, Michael Rooker, Billy Zane, Charlton Heston, and a voice cameo from Robert Mitchum.
When you make a Western, certain accoutrements are baked into the material. We're talking pistols, cowboy boots, big ol' hats, and of course, horses. Kurt Russell sat down with Esquire for a career-spanning interview, and during the course of the conversation, the actor fondly recalled his time working with his horse on "Tombstone.

There is no easy way to say it but Taylor Sheridan is a certifiable genius – the kind whose inventions do not draw ecstatic gasps or thunderous applause from the crowd but rather incite blasphemous outcries and send shockwaves powerful enough to disrupt the status quo of civilized society.
As such, Sheridan singlehandedly has the ability to stop the conveyor belt of studio production lineups or get them churning with a stroke of his pen and there arenʼt many people within the industry who hold that scale of authority or power over one studioʼs entire creative and bureaucratic system.
Taylor Sheridan [Photo: Fort Worth Magazine]In one such situation (that proved the magnitude of his authority over his intellectual properties), Taylor Sheridan once shut down Paramountʼs demand to deliver an extension of his story despite the studio greenlighting Season 2 and ironically, the execs themselves coming up with storylines, plot points, and narratives to justify the arc for another season.

One of the hardest things to pull off in the movie industry? A remake of a golden classic that doesn’t get immediately torpedoed by furious critics and Og fans. Few directors have managed such a feat, and it wasn’t the case with this largely hated 2024 action thriller. Half of its viewers hated it, but the other half has an ace up its sleeve: Stephen King’s personal endorsement of this controversial remake.
Even Jake Gyllenhaal Couldn’t Save This Remake
The original Road House came out in 1989, starring Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott and directed by Rowdy Herrington. The movie wasn’t too gracefully received by the critics, but the audience enjoyed it — and as it often happens in such cases, Road House later became a cult classic. You know what Hollywood does to cult classics from the 80s, don’t you?
In 2024, a modern remake by Doug Liman hit the screens.

The story of Beowulf and Grendel is one of the most famous stories in English literature. The epic Beowulf is one of the most important works of English literature in general and it has been an inspiration for many authors over the centuries. Taylor Sheridan is one of those masterminds of masterminds, wracking his brain down to the core to find out the next best storyline for his Yellowstone universe and all the spin-offs attached to it. Not only has he delivered some of the most epic tales through all of his projects, but he has also set multiple records and won many star-studded accolades for the same.

But what’s worth commending is that, despite knowing that fulfilling this demand was close to impossible, Sheridan still managed to find a solution to it by bringing the next classic spin-off in line to life, 1923.

Following the resounding success of the Yellowstone prequel 1883, creator Taylor Sheridan delved even deeper into the Dutton family history and launched 1923. In an interview, Sheridan shed light on an intriguing aspect of the prequel. He revealed that during the development of 1883, Paramount expressed interest in a storyline that he personally didn’t feel was appropriate just to milk it even more.

There are a lot cult classics from the 1980s, but Road House stands somewhere near the top. Sure, many of its fans wouldn’t label it as such, since they lovingly, legitimately and unironically adore it. But there’s no use in arguing it belongs in one camp over another or that it is unapologetically everything it sets out to be. But it – and its cult following – couldn’t have happened without a few broken ribs, a don’t-take-no producer and some pervy late-night phone calls to a star’s spouse. Yes, it involves Bill Murray… So, pour some suds and rip some throats because we’re gonna find out: Wtf Happened to this Movie?!

The 1989 summer movie season might've officially kicked off on Memorial Day weekend with the release of Steven Spielberg's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," but having been a movie-mad 15-year-old kid at the time, I can assure you that May's first adrenalized action spectacular opened a week earlier when Patrick Swayze introduced us to a man named Dalton in the instant s***-kicker classic "Road House." Critics initially wrote it off as a mindless meathead programmer from mayhem merchant Joel Silver, but the aptly-monikered director Rowdy Herrington and the screenwriting duo of David Lee Henry and Hilary Henkin understood their ludicrous assignment and aced it with knowing aplomb. Their unabashed commitment to inherently risible material turned "Road House" into the "Citizen Kane" of bar bouncer movies.
Of course, "Road House" was, for a long time, the only bar bouncer movie ever made. Surprisingly, given the film's enduring popularity, few...

“Road House” is an infectiously stylish piece of slumming. It’s a remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze cheeseball action cult film, and it’s staged with a verve and wit and dynamic grittiness that make the original film look even more rickety than it once did. Doug Liman, the director of the new “Road House,” has always been a gifted maverick, but I still like his earliest films the best. For years now, he has worked hard to make interesting and responsible dramas, but watching “Road House” you can taste how good it must have felt for him to be irresponsible — to give in to his savage B-movie id.
The action in “Road House” is beyond brutal; at moments, it’s vicious. Yet if the movie is far more violent than your average action film, in its slightly crackpot bare-knuckle way it’s also more humane. Liman stages the pulp...

Actor Sam Elliott is regarded as one of the most talented actors in the industry who is also known for his full mustache and deep & sonorous voice. The actor appeared in the Western drama miniseries 1883 created by Taylor Sheridan. The miniseries serves as the first of several prequels of Sheridan’s Yellowstone and goes into detail of how Duttons came to own the land which is now known as Yellowstone Ranch.
The ten-episode long limited series was released in December 2021 and to introduce the prequel to the audience of Yellowstone viewers, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill appeared on Yellowstone. The stars appeared as James and Margaret Dutton in a flashback scene. 1883 followed the story of the post-Civil War generation of the Dutton family and their journey to Fort Worth, Texas before settling in Montana. Sam Elliott starred as Shea Brennan and had a very surprising opinion when it came to Yellowstone.
