Here he and writer Nacho Faerna are presenting a variation on a well-worn theme, the criminal who’s about to pull off their last job before retiring.
In this case, the criminal is a hitman named Wilson who has come to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands to perform what should be an easy assignment. But complications ensue right from the start, when he drives out to the unnamed target’s secluded house, he’s not there. Someone does arrive, but it’s a young woman, not the man he was expecting. A really wet Friday in New York – National Weather Service flash flood warning wet – is likely to take a bite out of specialty film in one of its biggest markets this weekend. Alamo Drafthouse shut its NYC locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island until further notice due to “severe flooding in and around the area,” saying “Please everyone stay dry & stay safe, and we hope to have you back at the movies very soon.” Subways are jammed up and the water makes it hard to get around.

Kunz didn’t originally plan on playing the main character, and admits his revealing nude scene wasn’t easy. “That was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done as an actor,” he says. “We had female nudity so we couldn’t just shoot it with me covered up. I think it added a lot, after he’s done what he’s done, to then be so broken and vulnerable. It’s very Adam and Eve, seeing each other’s nakedness for the first time and accepting all the flaws.”

In 2009, Nissan teamed up with Sony for Gt Academy, a reality TV show that posited a real-life Last Starfighter scenario: that the Gran Turismo series is such a finely tuned racing simulator that players who mastered the games could be trained to harness their skills to become actual professional racers. To the credit of all involved, that theory turned out to be true.
The focus of Neill Blomkamp’s Gran Turismo film is the true story of Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe), the biracial son of a retired British footballer who goes on to be Gt Academy’s third and youngest winner. Jann’s journey into the professional racing world is marked by some very impressive, consistent highs and an extremely terrifying low, stemming from a major crash in 2015 that’s depicted in the film in pretty harrowing detail.

Snakes, why’d it have to be snakes? Although Indiana Jones is famously petrified of the reptiles, a new species of snake has been named after Harrison Ford. According to a report published in the scientific journal Salamandra, the newly discovered species of slender snake was found in Peru’s Andes Mountains last spring. The species has been dubbed Tachymenoides harrisonfordi.
“These scientists keep naming critters after me, but it’s always the ones that terrify children,” Harrison Ford said in a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly. “I don’t understand. I spend my free time cross-stitching. I sing lullabies to my basil plants, so they won’t fear the night.“
Harrison Ford continued, “In all seriousness, this discovery is humbling. It’s a reminder that there’s still so much to learn about our wild world — and that humans are one small part of an impossibly vast biosphere. On this planet,...

"If they are born, they will bring about the end of days." Magnolia Pictures has revealed the official trailer for a religious horror thriller film titled Deliver Us, from filmmakers Cru Ennis & Lee Roy Kunz. This was originally titled Kill the Child, which is too dark and frightening to use as a title. There's so many strange things about this - she's a Russian Nun, then they try to stop her pregnancy, of course those "bad guys", so she goes on the run. According to an ancient prophecy, a woman will give birth to identical twin boys: one will be the Messiah, and the other the Anti-Christ. When Sister Yulia claims to have immaculately conceived twins, the Vatican sends a team of priests to investigate. They are joined by affiliates of a secret society, the Vox Dei. However, an American Jesuit, Father Fox, discovers their plan and helps her to escape.

Set about 40 years from the present day, Last Sentinel follows a platoon of four soldiers who are stranded on a military base waiting for relief. This world is now covered in water with only two land masses, who are now at war. Now three months past their duty time, the soldiers are wondering whether the relief will come at all, or if it is the enemy who will find them first.
There is plenty to enjoy about Last Sentinel. Right from the first few seconds you can see that it either has a decent budget or the small budget is used very well. I can only assume that much of it was shot at sea but even the shots where we don’t see the ocean, you really do feel like they are...

Indiana Jones 5, aka Dial of Destiny, sees the return of Indy’s longtime friend Sallah (John Rhys-Davies), but that’s not the only reunion in the upcoming film: Karen Allen will also make a cameo in the movie as his wife Marion Ravenwood.
Though Allen has not been featured in the trailers for the movie, Ravenwood’s rekindled relationship with the swashbuckling hero in 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has not been forgotten. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Allen expressed a “sense of gratitude” for playing the character for a third time, though she wishes her role was more of “part of the adventure” in the movie.

Dial of Destiny will be the final installment of the Indiana Jones franchise and is the only one not directed by Steven Spielberg as director James Mangold takes his place. Mangold’s notable films include Ford v. Ferrari, Walk the Line and Girl, Interrupted.
Last month, Ford received a well-deserved standing ovation that lasted five minutes at the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival as he said farewell to Indiana Jones. He was also given the Palme d’Or Award at the French festival.
Ford may be retiring from his Indiana Jones role, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to retire from acting just yet. In a recent interview...

Harrison Ford is not leaving acting anytime soon. The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star is opening up about his future and retiring is not a possibility.

“I don’t do well when I don’t have work,” Ford said. “I love to work… I love to feel useful. It’s my Jones, I want to be helpful.”

While Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny marks Harrison Ford’s final performance as Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones Jr., the franchise may continue with another character leading future expeditions into the unknown. I’m talking about Indy’s goddaughter, Helena Shaw. Phoebe Waller-Bridge brings the character to life in the James Mangold-directed sequel. From what I’ve heard, Helena is a highlight of the new film, and the franchise’s future could rest in her capable hands. In a recent interview with Variety, producer Kathleen Kennedy says it’s “entirely possible” for Waller-Bridge to continue the brand.
Speaking with Variety about the new film, its mixed reception, and the franchise’s future, Mangold becomes visibly excited when the outlet broaches the topic of Helena Shaw. Mangold says he and the Butterworths (Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth) wrote the character specifically for Waller-Bridge, including elements of what made...

Plot: An older Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) finds himself whisked into one last adventure when a Nazi he battled in WW2 seeks a mythical dial called the Antikythera which may have the ability to find fissures in time that could change the outcome of the war.
Review: We should count ourselves lucky that we have three perfect Indiana Jones movies, no matter what happens. The fedora-wearing archeologist will always be considered one of the most iconic characters ever, and Harrison Ford’s place in the pantheon isn’t being threatened. Yet, resurrecting the character in the 21st Century hasn’t been easy. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas gave it a whirl with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and fans had a fit. Everyone hoped Ford, who was game for one last go-round as the character, would get a fitting send-off with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,...
