Back in December, WWE star Liv Morgan (real name Gionna Daddio) was pulled over and arrested in Sumter County, Florida, where she was charged with possession of a synthetic cannabinoid & possession of marijuana (20 grams or less).
The felony charge (possession of a synthetic cannabinoid) was dropped less than one month later. She paid a fine for the misdemeanor charge (possession of marijuana) and the case was closed in February.
Law & Crime Network obtained the bodycam footage of her arrest, which you can watch in the video embedded at the top of this post. During the video, the police officer who pulled her over explains that Morgan was driving about 20 miles per hour below the speed limit, with other cars driving around her, and she was swerving left and right for a lengthy distance. There is a “super strong” smell of marijuana in her car. Liv denies that she was smoking marijuana but admits there is some in the car.
I think the most interesting part of the video happens about 14 minutes in where the officers are searching through her car trying to find the marijuana, and then realize from her belongings that she is a WWE wrestler. This includes reading notes she wrote in a planner, which includes goals like “buy many houses,” “transition into Hollywood,” “WWE Hall of Fame,” and “multiple time WWE champion.”
The officer concludes that “We have to ask her if she’s into wrestling.”
A second officer searching her car finds a check for over $7,000 and they realize that she is in fact a WWE star:
Officer 1: “Oh so she may do some wrestling work. The name doesn’t sound familiar though...Holy shit, I know who she is! Liv Morgan. Well I’ll be damned. Welcome to Sumter County.”
Officer 2: “That’s crazy! (laughter)”
Another interesting moment happens around 21 minutes in when Morgan calls her boyfriend Taylor (WWE star Bo Dallas) and asks him to come pick up the car and work on posting bail so she doesn’t have to spend the night in jail. On her call with Taylor, Morgan reiterates that she doesn’t know whose vape was found in her car.
