Orange Cassidy is booked in a straight up wrestling match at AEW Double or Nothing

Earlier this month, Orange Cassidy used the exposed turnbuckle steel to help score a win over Trent Beretta on AEW Dynamite. It was a case where Cassidy beat Beretta to the punch, because Trent exposed a different turnbuckle with malicious intent moments before that happened.

Trent snapped after the match was over and hit Orange with a piledriver on the steel steps. It was clear that their feud was not over, especially given Don Callis’ sudden interest in advising Orange.

The next chapter in their story was revealed on tonight’s (May 18) episode of Collision. After Cassidy defeated Isiah Kassidy in a singles match, Trent was interviewed and accused Cassidy of being a cheating sociopath. Beretta said it’s clear that he’s a better professional wrestler than Orange, so he challenged OC to a “straight up wrestling match” at Double or Nothing on May 26.

The words barely came out of Trent’s mouth when Freshly Squeezed punched him right in the face:

Later on Rampage, AEW President Tony Khan sent commentator Tony Schiavone a text to make the match official for the pay-per-view on May 26. Orange’s lower back was giving him all kinds of problems in his match on Collision, so Trent has a clear target to attack when they wrestle in Las Vegas.

Here’s the current lineup for AEW Double or Nothing:

  • AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Christian Cage
  • Anarchy in the Arena: Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, & Jack Perry vs. Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, & FTR
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Serena Deeb
  • TNT Championship: Adam Copeland (c) vs. Malakai Black inside a barbed wire steel cage
  • TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Mercedes Moné
  • AEW International Championship: Roderick Strong (c) vs. Will Ospreay
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship eliminator match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita
  • FTW Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, or Bryan Keith
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Trent Beretta
