How Our Aid Works

Our aid programme delivers results for poor people and provides value for money. But we know that changes for the better in the lives of poor people and communities won’t happen through aid alone. That’s why we promote policies that take account of their needs, based on evidence of what works. We are committed to working in a coherent way across Government departments in Ireland. We support countries to lift themselves out of poverty through increased trade. And we promote awareness in Ireland about our roles and responsibilities as global citizens.
