San Francisco-based Tides (organization)[edit]

Hello, I am looking for editors interested in California-based organizations for help improving Tides (organization). I left a note on the San Francisco Bay Area task force, but I figured I should leave a message here, too. I placed an request for edits on the Tides Talk page to update and fix inaccuracies in the introduction and infobox. For those who do not know, Tides is a public charity and fiscal sponsor whose work focuses on social equality, human rights, the environment, education and health. Its main office is located in the historic Presidio National Park, in Tides' Thoreau Center for Sustainability. (Please note that I have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, as I work for Tides. Rather than direct edit, I posted my suggestions at the discussion page.) Thank you, RD at Tides (talk) 22:55, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

@RD at Tides: According to WP:BFAQ#RULES, you should avoid editing articles directly related to your organization because of the conflict of interest. Is there any particular reason why you have an interest in this Wikipedia article? Woebegone (talk) 05:34, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
Seems like he is aware that he will not be directly editing WhisperToMe (talk) 13:54, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
Thank you both for replying. As WhisperToMe says, I’m aware I shouldn’t edit directly, that’s why I’m trying to get help via a request for edits. Per my note above, I work for Tides which is why I’m interested in the article, and I want to help fix some issues. Can either of you help? Thanks, RD at Tides (talk) 18:50, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
@RD at Tides: I can take a look. Woebegone (talk) 22:37, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
@Woebegone: Please let me know if there are any questions when you review the Tides edit request. Thank you, RD at Tides (talk) 21:18, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

USER:CORRECTOR[edit]

Hi! It may be useful to look into @CORRECTOR:'s edits. I found he/she changed the name and location of USP Victorville even though its name is still Victorville and from a map search I did, I determined the facility is still in Victorville. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:52, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

@CORRECTOR:, please do not unilaterally remove my edits as was done here. I do have concerns about the accuracy of some of your edits but I don't have time to go through all of them. Please participate in this discussion. WhisperToMe (talk) 13:54, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

@CORRECTOR:, on what basis did you change the location of USP Victorville? WhisperToMe (talk) 11:07, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Popular pages report[edit]

We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject California/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject California.

We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:

  • The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
  • The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
  • The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).

We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject California, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.

Warm regards, the Community Tech Team 17:16, 17 May 2017 (UTC) ʾʾʾ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.251.170.125 (talk) 17:33, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Quatloos.com[edit]

It's not an important article, and it looks fairly similar to a stub, but the Quatloos.com article now reflects the entirety of RS mentions for Quatloos!. It'll never be a GA, just because it's lacking some basics (even if I forced a Lead into the article, I'd need to replicate almost the entire body to satisfy the Lead length requirements). However, I'd suggest that it's now "well organized and essentially complete", so should be bumped up to an A grade. A quick review would be appreciated. Cheers, Bromley86 (talk) 00:11, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

Seeking input on Culver City-based Woven Digital name change and update[edit]

Hello! I'm reaching out here to see if members of this WikiProject would be able to look at some updates for the Culver City-based digital media company, Uproxx Media Group (formerly Woven Digital), which owns brands including Uproxx and BroBible. For the company, I have written an updated draft seeking to improve the current article and in my edit request, I've also proposed moving the article to the company's current name, Uproxx Media Group. As I do have a conflict of interest, I'm seeking uninvolved editors to review the proposed draft and weigh in on the name change suggestion. Would anyone here be able to help? Thanks in advance. 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 16:57, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
