Have you ever stared up into the night sky and wondered how far away is the moon? There are many ways you can answer this question!

The Moon is an average of 238,855 miles (384,400 km) away, or 15,157,486,080 inches. You can fit about 30 earths between us and the moon. This distance takes spacecrafts about 3-5 days of travel for them to arrive at the moon. How many balls of string would it take to reach the moon? Well, just one, if it is long enough!

Summer is here after an unusually cool spring and that means our snakes are out. Like most wildlife, rattlesnakes would much rather avoid us. Be mindful of where you place your hands and feet, especially in tall grass and you will be unlikely to encounter one. And of course never approach any wildlife, especially rattlesnakes.
